Zebra 3 Hypercalibrate request - hidden mod target for speed

I really like that Zebra 3 has an automatic 'hypercalibrate' (intonation adjustment) feature. It's a really underutilized thing in computer music, in my opinion.

One of my favorite old synths, the Microwave, had it. It was used to make some legendary chord stabs.

Even though a modern DAW setup could let you do this manually with MPE, it's nice to just be able to punch a chord on some keys and not have to worry about setting it up. (And you don't have to worry about MTS-ESP being out of sync or dealing with live adjustments to tuning, etc.) So, it's great to see it in Zebra 3!

But… the Hypercalibrate in Zebra 3 is pretty slow! For example, if I play a major 3rd, there's a substantial amount of time that passes before the intonation gets hyper. :hihi:

It's not a problem for slow pads. You won't notice that the first 200ms of a slow pad chord was mostly regular temperament. But, it's really noticeable on short and fast sounds. For fast sounds, I'd like the intonation adjustment to be as fast as possible. Well, without a bright clicking noise from the oscillator pitch changing too fast.

So, my proposal & request: a hidden modulator target for adjusting the calibration response speed.

How about it? 8)

Seems like a waste of CPU cycles for 'short and fast' sounds, which won't last long enough for any subtleties of intonation to be noticeable.

It shouldn't cost any more CPU. The response speed value is already in Zebra 3 somewhere being used.

Sorry but that's wrong. Demo 8)

We deliberately let it take a bit of time, so it doesn't just jump about. But yeah, we can probably make it a hidden mod target...
