Using often
* Serum 2
* Phonec 3
* Twin 3

Using sometimes
* Kontakt 8
* Model 77
* Model 82
* Model 80
* Model 84
* Spire
* TAL-J8X
* VSM IV
* OB-E
* TVS Pro

Using rarely = deleted
Been looking at picking up Twin 3. I already have a ton of soft synths. Does it bring anything unique to the table?

“shitload”, yeah ? When talking about cooking… OK, cowboy!

I'm currently reducing and the number of plugins I use, it almost feels like sometimes that making lists of x vs y is semantics, and maybe its more about how well you are able to use the tools you have.

In that case, I win. I have the least soft synths, so I must know how to use them the best...

...strangely I still make shit music a lot of the time. But it's technically perfect shit music :wink: .

Here's mine, left a lot blank because these are the only things I use with any regularity:

Top 3 Vintage analog mono
Model 82

Top 3 Vintage analog poly
Proxima

Top 3 Vintage Digital

Top 3 Modern Hybrids
Zebra3

Top 3 Granular/Sample manglers

Top 3 Modular or semi-modular

Top 3 Physical Modeling

Top Preset Players
Virtual JV

Post

Let's see...

Top 3 Virtual Analog:
- U-he Diva
- Korg Multi/Poly
- UAD Minimoog or Legend HZ

Top 3 "Unapologetically Digital":

- Pigments
- Serum 2
- Surge XT

Best Modular:
- Softube Modular
- Reaktor 6
- U-he Bazille maybe?

Best Sample Players/ROMplers:
- Korg Triton Extreme
- UVI Falcon
- Omnisphere 3 probably although I don't own it

Best Physical Modeling:
- IK MODO BASS 2
- Pianoteq 9
- I guess Pigments also fits here?

SYNTHS

Pigments
DIVA

I pretty much do everything in:

Serum 2
Nexus 5
Diva

Serum 2 greatly reduced my use of Current and Phaseplant, while Nexus 5 greatly reduced my use of Kontakt and Omnisphere. Those are all great in their own way as well, but I'm far more productive using a reduced set of tools.

That is how i do it these days. I have my usual suspects i use lot (Falcon, pigments, Zebra3 now, diva, Phaseplant, omnisphere) and the rest is just on rotation.
