I tried installing this on an external hard drive and it doesn't find any of the factory content. I also couldn't find any settings where I could point the plugin to the content.. help?

A lotta coin for this imo, not overly moving me towards ponying up for it tbh...
ymmv
*I guess the content seems to be working against it for me, much better having got past that.
*Still an 8x sampler with a few interesting additions and high cpu for $150, think I'll prob pass.

THere's 20% off from Folio studios but it adds 20% VAT on for me which brings it down to $144. Think it could be fun to have but can't really justify the expenditure.pekbro wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 4:20 am A lotta coin for this imo, not overly moving me towards ponying up for it tbh...

I wouldn't mind having it, but yea a bit hard to justify. Personally, I think the DSP could be better. For me a couple instances of Cataract 2 covers much of the territory of this at far less cpu. Doh, bought dammit!
*Code brought it down to $120 for me (no VAT), which was not too bad. Also figured out that
heavy cpu was mostly DAW specific in my case, latest update improved things as well.

You chose wisely Pekbro. I saw you'd mentioned Flipcraft at GS, pretty nice slicer there. I prolly would've chosen that if I saw it before PAM. But this is a great fusion of sampling, sequencing and modulation that I don't see elsewhere. And the guy updates it like a madman. Good stuff here.
EDIT: today's update includes a custom drawn LFO, just like that!

How is Cataract 2 holding up against it?pekbro wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2026 8:58 am Doh, bought dammit!

Anyone coming from Geist try this? What did you think of it?

Heh, it still uses a lot of cpu, but yea it does a lot more than the old plugin for sure.Uncle E wrote: Wed May 06, 2026 6:27 amHow is Cataract 2 holding up against it?pekbro wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2026 8:58 am Doh, bought dammit!

This is one of the new plug-ins that I’ve been exploring, and it’s a proper mangler, through and through. It’s extremely entertaining for all sorts of rhythmic madness and crazy sound design!
I could EASILY spend hours with PAM, recording the phrases and bits of ear candy that make this such an addictive VST. Then I bounce it down as audio to be imported for further tweaking. It’s so much fun!
I feel like we’re spoiled, with so many new options and developers who are willing to blaze new trails with their ideas. Despite everything negative that’s happening in the world, it’s an exciting time to be an electronic musician!!
