One thing I find annoying is that if I see a pedal marked tremolo, I expect it to be a tremolo and not a vibrato. Just because Leo Fender got these two effects confused, doesn't mean this effect needs to as well.
Also, if you have a mode where it is supposed to simulate the whammy bar being gently manipulated, then it probably should go first in the chain.

Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

It's also developed on Linux!audiojunkie wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 2:38 am The key standout feature for me is that it supports Linux—none of the alternatives mentioned do. As a Linux user, I love it when developers natively support Linux! That’s usually the key to developers getting my money.![]()
I know, and it's seriously hard to decide what terminology most users will understand. If you type "tremolo" on e.g. Thomann, you see whammy bars. And when you browse effects that do roughly what this one does, they are almost always described as "dynamic tremolo". So that's what we did.mumpcake wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 5:16 am One thing I find annoying is that if I see a pedal marked tremolo, I expect it to be a tremolo and not a vibrato. At the same time "tremolo" as understood by most non-guitarist musicians is volume fluctuations, not pitch.

Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

Just released a "lite" version today:

It's its own plugin which has a subset of features, and it's free.

Wax and Wane is a classic. Love that track.audiojunkie wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 10:36 pm This last one is more of a Dream pop classic than shoegaze, but it's also the one that is closest to your preferred genre:
