Gpu has no added value to music software. But its hard to understand, my old 4790k could handle PP very well. Id suggest you to optimise your system and turn turbo boost in bios.
Turbo Boost is activated, but yeah it's weird..just adding two granular oscs and modulating them, and adding bunch of effects, and audio starts skipping etc.
What audio interface and driver are you using?

Most likely due to Windows System Services. Look under the computer forum on things that definitely need to be turned off, disabled and stopped to let your machine work for you instead of them.
Everything should be adjusted properly, but will check the computer forum, thanks.
I had trouble with my i9 until I gave my soundcard and DAW interrupt priority -I use Process lasso and highly recommend it to prioritise audio... https://bitsum.com/

I'd prefer knobs.

That would be awesome - take the spectrum of one waveform and apply it to another without setting up key follow and poly in the fx

Ok thank you very much, will try it 😊

- Ability to save groups
- Linear phase, multiple filter size crossovers for Multipass
- Ability to use Snap Heap or Multipass in the collapsed state (how it looks when nested within another Snap Heap Or Multipass).
- Metering Snap-in (think Insight 2, Youlean)
- Macro buttons (similar to Reasons combinator)
- More FX in the OSC section of Phaseplant

Im definitely excited for V3 as Kilohearts is one of my favorite developers. Especially in Game Sound Design.
I'd say about 70% of the SFX from the last game I worked on was done using Phase Plant.

Very cool. Snap Heap lives on most tracks in my Pro Tools template for game design. I also think the KHS stuff would be the perfect addition in FMOD.

I don’t understand a word, but this Echopath thingy looks interesting. It seems to be a multi fx processor like Snapheap, you can build custom delay lines and apparently insert Kilohearts snapins into the feedback path.

This could be extra fun in PP as polyphonic effect.

I'd like to see a bunch of properly analog modeled filters available in the generator section, though basically I think Phase Plant is excellent.

I hope they add something interesting. Phase Plant is one of the most user-friendly semi-modular synthesizers out there.

The developers held a livestream once, and I asked if they planned to add a feedback feature. They mentioned they were considering it—though that was quite a while ago—so I suspect they’ve since decided against it.
HOFA System has implemented this feature very well. Within the Phase Plant ecosystem, it could potentially exist as a standalone plugin.

In terms of sound engines, there could be an additive, physical modeling and/or a spectral one or they extend the sampler's functionality with these. Not sure if there are any other synth engines (compared to Pigments, Serum or Omni), PP needs.

For workflow, a better browser (maybe even with sound preview) would be nice, an in-depth randomization engine with parameter lock, and MIDI blocks (sequencer / arp) could be on the horizon.

If they truly wanted to add something new that other flagship synths don't have, things like tuneable feedback paths (see Minimal Audio Rift, multi-output for dolby atmos, or a super in-depth FM engine would be unique features. FM is possible on most flagship synths, but it's a far cry from dedicated synths like FM8.

Kilohearts Phase Plant v3 – Superbooth 2026 Preview

Spotted this interview at Superbooth 2026 with Swedish plugin company Kilohearts (their 8th time at the show). They were showing a sneak preview of their entire plugin ecosystem Version 3. Here's the breakdown:

The Big Picture

All their plugins share one unified version number rather than individual ones, so this is a v3 update across the whole system. It also bundles together years worth of accumulated bug fixes that were previously too risky to push individually.

⚠ Heads up: Upgrading may require tweaking old presets. You also cannot run v2 and v3 simultaneously, though you can easily downgrade/upgrade via their installer.

What's New

1. Built-in Preset Marketplace
  • Fully integrated preset browser inside the plugin UI
  • Now opens as its own floating window
  • Browse free and paid content from other users and artists
  • Artists and sound designers can sell presets directly through the plugin
  • Example shown was a preset pack by Kill The Noise available to buy in-plugin
  • Primary focus is free content but paid content is supported too since that market already exists elsewhere online - they've just made it more convenient
2. Free Vocoder
  • New vocoder plugin added completely free
  • Joins their existing free lineup under Kilohearts Essentials
  • Essentials already has around 35 free plugins and recently hit 1 million users
3. Ecopath (New Paid Plugin)
  • Brand new multi-effects plugin centred around delay lines with feedback
  • Audio enters, passes through a pre-effects lane, then splits into 5 parallel delay lines
  • Each delay line has adjustable time and volume
  • You can load any effects into each individual delay line
  • Delay lines can feed back into each other
Use cases include creative reverb-like textures and key-tracked physical modelling style sounds. They described it as the "last missing piece" to make their software feel like a truly complete modular setup, comparable to hardware Eurorack systems.

Release Timeline

Closed beta: Within a month or before summer (artist/sound designer friends filling it with content first)
Public release: Sometime after summer 2026

TL;DR

Kilohearts v3 brings a built-in preset marketplace, a free vocoder, a new paid delay/feedback multi-FX plugin called Ecopath, and a load of long overdue bug fixes. Public release expected post-summer 2026.
