You can download/install all the plugins individually from Arturia's website, from the "Downloads & Manuals" section. If you click on a specific product, you get it's own page, eg:

Sure we get it, you want to be locked into the proprietary closed wall garden of whatever Apple decides for you and then complain when it doesn't work. It's 2026 why no be beholden to Apple's propritary format that came out 24 years ago?
Not sure what any of this means, other than an excuse to have a rant at Apple for zero reason?

Many companies offer installation *options* in the Apple installer, so you can install whatever formats you want. Arturia, do not - their Mac installers only install all formats, regardless. I usually also only want to install the AU versions of stuff - I don't want, or need, VST/VST3/AAX/Standalone formats, so having to install them, then go and delete them afterwards, is a bit annoying, when pretty much most other companies offer installation options.

This is a choice by Arturia, so I'm not sure where the Apple complaints are coming from.

not sure about the individual installers, never used them, but you can select what to install in ASC

Yes, that's what I was referring to, because of the context of downloading from the site directly, not using ASC.

Of course, if you're installing via ASC, it's not a problem.

It was a direct response to the OP who complained about everyone saying they didn't have any issues who said
"And none of the posts above make any reference to ONLY installing AU versions. I do not want VST (jeez it's 2026 already!!) nor VST3."
I was talking about only using AU which you might be shocked to know is a propritary Apple product

And then making reference to the year 2026 as the OP did

But I get the fact I said something that upsets the Apple Fanbois and Cupertino must be defended at all costs

Seems like the issue is an Apple specific issue, and if anyone dares mention that fact they will be immediately attacked

and it would seem you can just install AU if you want

I love user errors.

You misunderstand, the issue is not "an Apple specific issue" as I tried to explain, it's how Arturia *have made* the standalone installers. I get though that some people just can't understand that something occasionally just might not be Apple's fault...

The guy wanted installer options to only install the format he wanted - regardless of what his or anyone's else's preference are - not an unreasonable request, as I mentioned, because virtually everybody else offers those options in the Apple installers they make.

Yes, in *ASC*, but *not* in the standalone installers (the entire point of my posts).

Is this not a thread about ASC however?

They are all there - I don't use ASC, I've only used direct download links for years... :tu:

Ok, that's annoying and stupid. Then again, deleting all VST, VST3 and AAX files takes 0.9 seconds per folder. It's something you can do while the wife refreshes her makeup.

Post

Yep, not exactly the end of the world, for sure. I can't just delete all the VSTs etc, as some still are required and the AU will break without the VSTs installed (lookin' at you, Korg!), so you have to pick and choose. But it's not like we're all installing those things every other day so like I say, not a big deal...

Nope, sorry you misunderstand. NOTHING to do with Apple, the complaint is against primarily Arturia Software Centre!

Actually it is in ASC that I am not offered the choice of "type" only location. Although again, it could be my error in not going "deep" enough into the Arturia files hierarchy??

Thanks for the rest though, you nailed it!

It's under "Preferences", in the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the ASC.
