No problem!Vitaly wrote: Wed May 20, 2026 1:41 am Hi Mikey Audio and thanks for Shu!
There's a minor issue with Silk mode. If you reduce the Decay (from 50% to 0), the processed audio's panorama starts to shift to the left.
Win 10, VST3, Reaper 7.70
What does "Shu" mean BTW?
Regards,
Vitaly.
Can you please make a demonstration video? I couldn't reproduce that issue.
Shu is the ancient Egyptian primordial god of air.

First of all, I was pleasantly shocked to see a message from you. You are my favorite preset creator by far. The quality of your work is unmatched, so thanks!
I've been on the fence about creating a synth, because so many great ones already exist. Also, it would take 2 solid years of work to make it how I want it. If I ever do though, I'd want to work with you.
To answer your question... It's closed source, since there is IP overlap with paid products. Who knows in the future though.

Have you been following my other thread about vibe coding in the dsp section. Do you know how to code yourself? I am just vibing and have no idea. If you are willing, I would love someone who actually knows there stuff to help me if i run into a snag or somethiing.
By all means, happy to help sound design in any synth you ever come up with

What's crazy is I only saw your thread after sending my last message, so I was double shocked to see you're working on a synth.Touch The Universe wrote: Wed May 20, 2026 2:46 amWoW, thanks, wasn't expecting thatMikey Audio wrote: Wed May 20, 2026 2:19 amFirst of all, I was pleasantly shocked to see a message from you. I am actually implementing the cloudseed verb into a MONSTER synth I'm working on to continue my sound design adventures in.

I do know how to code, but I am not a DSP expert. I had to reference a bunch of academic papers, vibe code, test, tune, repeat, until I got the reverbs I was happy with in Shu. Even then, I'm not completely satisfied with the Spring mode.
I'm willing to help out where I can. Are you working on a paid product? Open source? Licensing?
You can also email me (support@mikey.audio) so this thread doesn't go completely off track, lol.

The source is monophonic pink noise. Panorama shift begins from approximately 1 kHz and below. All other modes work normally.

Thanks. I've fixed this locally, but I want to address a few more things before the next release.Vitaly wrote: Wed May 20, 2026 8:16 amMikey Audio wrote: Wed May 20, 2026 2:09 am Can you please make a demonstration video? I couldn't reproduce that issue.

You're welcome!
Silk Mode has the most pleasant modulation I've ever heard.
I'm looking forward to the new release.

Great! Shu is becoming a very capable reverb.
BTW Would you mind if the Low Cut knob defaulted to 20Hz instead of 300Hz? Or, 50 perhaps? 300Hz is way too high for a general purpose.
