2026-05-17 09_00_34-MuLab App _ Grid247.png
rather confusing: when choosing save as, i'd expect to input a new name anyway (also why select new name again) , then what i choose?
keep as is doesn't keep my input and reverts to original name but doesn't save as (anything)
rename overwrites the original? (in name and file?)
Lets start from a new project with the default Basic Synth.
Now i tweak that Basic Synth sound and i like it.
Inside MuLab i rename it to "My Basic Synth".
Now i also want to save it as a preset and click Save As and use the new file name "Basic Synth 1".
So i have chosen a different name for the preset file name and the patch file name which is a rather confusing situation. That's what that popup alerts about, and it gives the option to resolve it by clicking "Rename This MUX Modular". If you do "Keep As Is" however then the different names will be preserved and the result is this:

No such option.tiger001 wrote: Sun May 17, 2026 7:42 am how to select multiple tracks at the same time to adjust some of it's properties (e.g. width):
It is in the Audio Recorder editor: Switch off "Auto Arm".one thing that really annoys & worries me:
every time i select a track, it arms record
-wasn't there a preference orso to turn this off?
There is no such option.can i define these kind of tracks (modulation) default width?

MuLab Plugin M10.2.25 beta is available:
https://www.mutools.com/mulab/plugin/la ... /beta.html
What's changed:
- Roland VST3 plugins now work.
- Added support for PSP Audioware VST3 plugins.
They only did audio output on the left channel, now it's stereo as expected.
Thanks to PSP Audioware for the good communication on this issue. - Fixed a bug in MuLab Plugin that could cause crashes upon unplugging MuLab Plugin, or upon quitting the host.
- Enhanced linked Note Key Names: A MUX can now also link to the Note Key Names of a deeper nested module. (before, only a direct child module could be linked)
- Changing a rack's color did not immediately update the slots scrollbar color. Fixed.
- Other small improvements.

wasn't there a feature to have this clip (all clips in fact) de/activated ?
(right click or a knob/button on the clip itself ?)
how to temporary mute these kind of clips?

when no name is assigned to a rack, and you copy over a module (the first ?) -from another rack, this rack (and consequently the track too) gets named after the module you copy over
when there's already a name assigned to a rack, this doesn't happen

Sure.tiger001 wrote: Tue May 19, 2026 5:37 am when adding a automation track (rack 8 gain) this is not designated as sub-track

If you want to make track X a subtrack of track Y then drag track X over the middle of track Y and drop it.
Cfr https://www.mutools.com/info/M10/docs/m ... poser.html
You can drag a track to move it up or down.
If you drop it on the top/bottom of a track, it moves before/after that track.
If you drop it on the middle of a track, it becomes a child track of that track.

Each clip can be muted using the Mute button in the Clip Property Panel at the bottom left of the time line editor.tiger001 wrote: Tue May 19, 2026 5:49 am wasn't there a feature to have this clip (all clips in fact) de/activated ?

That's exactly how it is designedtiger001 wrote: Tue May 19, 2026 6:02 am when no name is assigned to a rack, and you copy over a module (the first ?) -from another rack, this rack (and consequently the track too) gets named after the module you copy over

No custom user name => MuLab uses an automatic name.
If custom user name => MuLab does not use an automatic name.

MuLab Plugin M10.2.26 beta is available:
https://www.mutools.com/mulab/plugin/la ... /beta.html
What's changed:
- When choosing a sequence, eg. when a sequence clip is selected and you popup the sequence list from the Clip Property Panel, now the current sequence is highlighted.
The same for places where a sample or multi-sample can be chosen. - "Set As Project Main Module" menu option removed from all module context menus except for MUX Modular and Composer.
This is to unbloat context menus and only show this menu option for relevant modules, thus currently MUX Modular and Composer. - Racks have a new context function "Remove Empty Slots" to cleanup a rack's redundant slots. It does keep at least 1 slot.
- When adding a new default rack, now the number of initial slots depends on the rack desk height to avoid such new rack to start with a scrollbar for the slots.
Easy enough to add slots when needed. And you can also overrule this default bahvior by saving your own "New Rack.Mux" in your "User/Library/MUX/Racks/New Rack Templates" subfolder. - Other small improvements.
