sprnva wrote: Thu May 14, 2026 7:41 pm Delay Architect attempted to clone Logic's Delay Designer. It can even import its presets.

However it's no longer in development and is only available as source code these days (unless it's in a repo somewhere that I'm unaware of).
Nice delay, thanks for mentioning it! Built from the source code fine on MX Linux. Wish I could find some delay designer presets as starting points and to test import.

I love Fog 2, but I haven't even purchased Speakers, yet...but plan on it. Now another...? (noticing the base price of Speakers is $99 and Fog 2 and Environments are $69. I have to look at the feature differences more closely).

EDIT: If i log in, Speakers is $39 and Environments is $29 on my account page. They usually do crossproduct promos like that if you own something in a series already.

I was going to suggest extracting them from the LPX trial, but it seems the trials of LPX and FCPX were discontinued recently.

Luckily, you can find old copies on archive.org. Like this one.

About AMEN Machine
(Homage to the 6 Seconds Amen Brother Break by the Winstons):

A Shout Out - to Franky Boy

This is written before I even tested 1.0.4. My last build was 1.0.2 (hidden version), and I’m honestly amazed what happened in between.

I have to give a huge shout‑out to Frank from Kreuzberg Audio (and to myself as bug‑hunter) – he is GOLD: fast, responsible, and actually thankful. I bought AMEN because it was ridiculously cheap and already packed some hidden features I loved (and i know some stuff for the future  ). Then I found a few bugs, reported them, and… well, what can I say? In the last few days Frank pumped out updates, fixes, and new features from 1.0.0 to 1.0.4 at an insane pace. This changelog must be enormous (I know it, because I sent him most of it). This guy…is probably assimilated. :borg:

If you’re a customer, you may already have received an email with more details about 1.0.4.

New Feature Selection:
  • It’s now a pure FX plugin too – you can send any audio straight to the FX section.
  • A new global length knob lets you cut the slices even shorter for clicky or sharper sounds.
  • Performance MIDI support (for the Macros i think).
  • Some effects are now more audible and prominent.
  • Lots of bugs fixed (if you was sceptical and quiet about what you discovered)
AMEN Machine 1.0.4 is now available. (License stays valid)

Kreisklang want to create Linux Plugins too:

Known for "FABRIK"
A powerful + intuitive + flexible (modular) Synthesizer.

Translated Mail:
We're getting there, but it's a little more complicated than Windows and Mac because we use WebView for the UI. We are still looking for a suitable solution for Linux. But we are big fans of Linux and want to support it.

BeatCrafter is a proof of concept for an intelligent MIDI drum pattern generator designed specifically for live performance with foot controller. The plugin generates only MIDI data - no audio - making it perfect for triggering your favorite drum VSTs like MT Power Drum Kit, Superior Drummer, or any General MIDI drum sampler.

The core philosophy: start simple and build complexity musically. Patterns begin with minimal elements (snare only on beat 3) and progressively evolve into full arrangements as intensity increases, respecting the authentic characteristics of each musical style.

The Releases page has binaries for Linux and Windows. No Mac, so I put it here rather than the 3 OS thread.

The latest version has a new UI that differs from the one on the page. Here's how it looks in Ardour:

SoundThread (beta)
latest Build 10/2025

https://github.com/j-p-higgins/SoundThread

Node based interface for The Composers Desktop Project.
CDP (Composers' Desktop Project) is a suite of around 500 processes, designed for the in-depth exploration of sound transformation.

It has a lot of little boxes with sound effects you can put together.
then run the thread and have an output file.
you can recycle this output file to the same or another thread.
you can go wild. it worth a try.

#experimental music and sound design

It is a little bit too quiet around this awesome project.

When Link opened watch into address bar:
remove the "amp;" from the link, and maybe change "=0" to "=1". Download should start then, when you hit enter again.

Still no go for me, but I'll just wait for non-beta. cheers for trying!
