TX16Wx AU crashes when a sample gets moved to (drag & drop) the program slots (see screenshots).

This issue occurs on Logic Pro 12.2. / Macbook Pro M5 / Mac OS 26.2
This issue does not occur in FL Studio 2025 using the TX16Wx AU plugin (on the same macbook).

Troubleshooting done so far:
- notebook restart (multiple times)
- uninstalled TX16Wx 3.7.0 (file in the vst/au folder has been deleted) and reinstalled it -> error still persists
- uninstalled TX16Wx 3.7.0 (file in the vst/au folder has been deleted) and installed 3.8.0beta -> error still persists
- uninstalled 3.8.0beta and went back to 3.7.0s again -> error still persists

Could you please have a look on this issue?

Thanks,
BR
Franz

I could not repro this in different host on OSX 26. I will try to get a Logic setup and check this as well.
You did not get the option of generating a crash dump from the OS/program?

I am having the same issue here. I am using a MacBook Pro M1 macOS Tahoe ver.26.5 and my DAW is GarageBand 10.4.13. I tried all the troubleshooting steps Franz tried and I still cannot drag&drop from the File Browser to the Region grid section of the TX16Wx.

What does work is if I open a Group and then click Load Program from the Group Menu. The Finder Browser pops up and and can go to the wav file I want to populate the Region Grid. However, the wav file in the Finder Browser window is greyed out or hidden.

Thank You,

JDB7

Seems to be (imho) a bug in the appkit used in MacOS 26 when running external process AU. The drag is reported twice, the second of which then touched bad memory. I've put up a new build of 3.8.0beta (7820.718) which should fix this.
