I think you posted in your wrong thread :).
Never the less, is there a way to still demo unstable?

Sure. All you need to do is download the trial from the website.

that's a stale page, update your browser cache / force reload
the current version is 1.1.2 and it's a normal trial download that works as described on the website.

Post

Thanks.. that worked.

A LINUX version is available now too.

Thanks for the Linux version. :tu:

Sounds great..really.

But I cannot use it due to the frame/window sizing which seems not quite right for my laptop.

I mean I can resize it but the ideal zoom for me, the synth does not quite fit the VST frame.

I then have to use the mouse to scroll up/down and left/right to get to certain edge areas.

If I put it larger then it's way too large for my screen..

Kind of kills the vibe for me.. so sorry.

I have no records of any purchase from you. Allowing unsigned software is a standard macOS setting that takes about 10 seconds. It's documented on the download page and on Apple's own support site. Plenty of indie plugins ship unsigned. If that's a dealbreaker for you, fair enough, but telling me how to spend money you never earned me isn't really how this works.
The way I would frame it is if you're asking people to invest in your business by selling the plugin, you should be willing to do the same by forking over the $99 to Apple so they don't have to jump through those extra hoops. That might also be why you don't see a purchase from the person who brought it up and may be missing out from other Mac users.

If your whole lineup of plug-ins were totally free, I would agree with you it's reasonable not to. But if you are selling plug-ins, having signed Mac binaries is kind of minimum table stakes for me.

This one's already settled, but I'll lay it out one more time. I do appreciate the input โ€” really โ€” but the conclusion doesn't change: I don't have the money. The plugin hasn't earned anywhere near enough to cover another โ‚ฌ99 a year, and I can't pay for what I don't have.

It doesn't change the plugin in any way regardless, and the new installer already clears the quarantine flag, so it installs fine without it. The install works fine for the vast majority of people โ€” so this isn't a product problem; it's a preference some folks feel strongly about. That's fair, but it doesn't change what I can afford right now.

And to be honest, right now I'm focused on far more fundamental things than an Apple signature. The money isn't there, and that's not changing because someone on a forum wants it to. The decision's made โ€” by circumstance, not preference. If it's a dealbreaker for you, that's completely fair, but it's not something I can change.

And I don't appreciate being constantly badgered publicly over something this trivial.

There are free and open source projects out there that have no problems in providing signed binaries. You have no excuse for this.
He doesn't need an excuse. It's entirely up to him how he conducts his business. Don't like it? Move on. Not your concern.

Honestly, I hope you start to make enough money on your work that it does eventually become worthwhile. I only checked out your Juno, and it's pretty cool. Always nice to see a new developer on the scene doing good work!

But, the 'constantly badgered' and 'trivial' thing was just unnecessary. This is KVR. You're going to get feedback from users here. You'll find we're pretty developer-friendly generally (quite a few don't come here any longer if we're being honest), but we're also not shy about opinions. To quote someone, "if that's a dealbreaker for you, that's completely fair, but it's not something I can change." Nor will you change it. ;)

If you want to see badgered, go read some of the Zebra 3 threads about the Ctrl A-D knobs and MSEGs. And KVR loves Urs Heckman! He's been a member of the community for a long time and is super active and respected around here. But that's what getting badgered looks like!

Anyway, good luck!

Appreciate this โ€” genuinely. Fair point on the wording too; you're right that feedback is the whole point of a place like this, and I'd take an opinionated community over an indifferent one any day. I'll consider the Zebra 3 threads my benchmark for what "badgered" actually means. ๐Ÿ˜„
Thanks for giving the Juno a spin, and for the kind words โ€” that lands especially well this early on. It's a tougher welcome than I expected, but I do appreciate it, and I'm glad to be here. Cheers!
