Am I the only one experiencing session lag and increased rainbow wheel instances after the update to 12.4?

All sorts of similar reports all over the Ableton sub reddit.

Hi — just dropped three M4L MIDI effects (free) plus paid VST3/AU/CLAP (macOS) versions of the same plugins:
  • Oedipa — chord-progression generator on a Tonnetz lattice
  • Stencil — Music Thing-style Turing Machine for MIDI
  • Pointsman — scale quantizer with optional chord mode + humanize

i cant stress enough how awesome this pack is! i saved the selected plugin and toggle all plugins on selected track on both audio and midi tracks and saved it as defaults. i think im coming back to ableton like this is awesome.

Only caveat, for now, is that it only works with the latest Live beta, not the normal release version....

That's very strange, because the latest normal release version is the exact same build as the last beta.

well, its not my caveat, its the developer's, but if Im misinterpreting, my apologies...
IMPORTANT:

Accessing floating plug-in windows through Ableton Live’s API currently requires the latest public beta version:

Live 12.4.5b1.

This functionality is not yet available in the current stable Live release, but will likely become publicly available in a future Live update (possibly Live 12.5).
I dont have access to my beta account right now, so cant confirm, but when I got Nandi's original email about this a week or two ago, I was sure I'd had a new beta notification since 12.4 was released on the 5th. maybe i was wrong though
I havent yet tested in 12.4 production version myself, though. Even better news if it does indeed work!

Yeah it's using this specific feature that's currently only on 12.4.5b1, released on the 12 May:
Max for Live can now open or close plug-in editor windows via the LOM.

New pack of 5 "analog" EQs:

Built on high-quality open source implementations, optimized and reworked to ensure faithfulness to the hardware models. Optional output stage saturation; no artificial noise floor unlike some VSTs in this space :)

No, it's me that screwed up...I totally forgot that there was another beta that came out a little while after 12.4 came out! I'm sorry

Together with a friend, I just spent nearly a year working on a chord progression device which is kind of a culmination of things that I always missed in chord progression VSTs/M4L devices.

It's designed for really fast iteration and experimentation and does some things I have not yet seen anyone else do at least in a M4L format:
  • Clips update live as you type chord symbols
  • Generate brand new chord progressions
  • Get context-aware chord suggestions
  • Apply automatic voice leading
  • Access harmonic devices quickly, including secondary dominants
  • Send bass notes to a separate track clip, which stays automatically synced
  • Apply rhythm patterns to clips in one click
Since the new Ableton Extensions API just launched, will also be looking at how utilizing that might help to lead to even better workflows and conveniences as the M4L API has its limitations in regards to clip manipulation.

This is great.

I've been looking for something almost exactly like this. Almost like a simplified Scaler but as an M4L device.

A lot of of progression devices seem unbelievably convoluted whereas this is really straightforward.

Instabuy for me.

I also bought.

Works perfectly as in the video.

Well done. :tu:

Looking forward to more styles.
