Great work as always! Are there any plans to support syncing/changing the Prohect Key in Bitwig 6.x from the controller? Eg selecting modes/key on the controller doesn't affect the Key Signature in Bitwig. This could also be bi-directional - if I change the Key in Bitwig say to E Minor it would be great if the controller Key was also updated to match

I think this would need to be optional/toggle-able for situations where you didn't want to sync.

Sadly, not possible. Write to Bitwig support that you want it, the more the better...

Hello Moss, With Push 2 and a drum machine loaded in Bitwig (Device mode in Push) why are we limited to 8 instruments when there are more ? If I use the arrows, it will not go further even if I have more instruments in my kit.... I have to click on my monitor or touch screen, then the Instruments appears on Push. Sometimes it shows : "Please create a drum pad"... With a kit of 32 instruments, on Push with the arrows, it jumps from 1-8 to 17-24...it's like instruments 9 to 16 and 25 to 32 don't exist.

Yes, it jumps by 16 since you have 16 pads / drum sounds. They should auto-select if you play a pad.

Yes but I have to play (and hear) a pad. Why can't we navigate with the arrows, like in Mix mode ?
When I have for instance 12 pads, I never can reach 9 to 12, and if I switch from note to device, it's like ALL the pads are gone.
I've to click on the pads on my monitor, in Bitwig itself. And sometimes it's even no more possible, the screen on the Push is stuck on "Drum Machine"/Please create a drum pad. No more edit possible.
I've to make "Shift"/press a pad to see the screen again.
Not very convenient for the workflow…

Thank you man for the script!
I'm facing a problem with Native Instruments S88 MK3, let's say i have an instrument track with serum on it and some effects, whenever switching between them (Serum, effect1, effect2, ...) the view is switching to track view, and then i have to press the Plug-IN button on the controller to get to the parameters of the selected effect/vst.
What make things worse is having kontakt as an insturment, then it will impossible to navigate to the parameters of the effects.

I am sure I am missing something obvious here. But how can I get Clip parameters in this menu to work on Track 1 - 8? I read through all the manual on Generic Flexi. This Clip parameters seems only for the currently selected track?

In Bank/Device mode, pressing the lower page buttons can sometimes cause Device view to jump to Channel view. If you re-enter Bank mode and press the lower buttons again, it can happen repeatedly. On a fresh restart, using Hierarchical track view seems more reliable, but eventually the Device view still jumps up a layer.

The function to "go up" is executed when you long press one of the 8 buttons. I noticed that there is an issue if you quickly switch between 2 buttons. I changed some things to make it more solid and hope that this fixes it. Will be in the next update.

Your solution solved this issue completely, which I've had for years. I tried to make it hiccup, but couldn't.
Thank you for that. This is a great deal for many who use Push2 in Bitwig with your script.

Just 2 small ideas, if you don't mind.
The currently selected Device Page's name could have a darker background with the already white font — it would help avoid searching for what's selected.

Also On the Device Page, maybe the font of each Control's title could be a little smaller and/or display across 2 lines, to accommodate more characters — which in my experience often seems necessary. I know Bitwig won't show all characters, but perhaps the Push 2 has enough screen space for that?

Dear Moss,

The long press in Device View still causes issues. The Up button works well, so the long press feature seems unnecessary and makes the extension fragile in live situations.

Would you consider removing the long press function or if needed for other hardware, add a Bitwig setting to enable/disable it?
