Hi,

as I recently bought an Exquis MPE controller, I'm searching for synths that work with it and I found some like Dreamsynth and Mercury-4 but no recent synth are MPE (last are Octave Cat and Sines).
Even GX80 is not (Arturia CS80V and memorymoon ME80 can use MPE and I like that) !
So why not all new synths are MPE compatible ?

Perhaps because they were released before MPE became widely accepted?
Octave Cat and Sines were released long ago. And of course the originals certainly would NOT have MPE capability or understanding.

It might be worth contacting Cherry Audio and ask them.

Despite loving all my Cherry Audio synths, now with the recent upgrade to Omnisphere and MPE, that gets most of my attention these days. Also Equator is my other MPE go to Vsti.

MPE is still a little on the fringe, it's not like there are a ton of builders of MPE hardware out there.

I don't understand this sentence. The poster asked why the recent synths dont' MPE but older ones do. And you said because they were released before MPE became widely accepted? So they don't have MPE in their newer synth because the older ones had MPE before MPE was common? I'm having a hard time with the logic there.

I'm also wondering why they stopped doing MPE compatibility since they already clearly knew how in older ones. I emailed and asked why Mercury-4 was MPE but not Mercury-8, which had more modiulation potential and it's competitors are MPE compatible. They said Mercury-8 MPE wasn't feasible. The reply also didn't make sense.
