amplab 0.7.2 is out.

This update continues the work on dynamic cabinet behavior under heavier master load and overload pressure. I also added a new NoiseGate module and finally implemented mirrored Windows audio output for the standalone version, which makes realtime demo/video recording much less painful on ASIO setups.

I finally managed to record a proper realtime demo video as well:

Short patch to v0.7.2

* Improved dynamic cabinet behavior and overload response
* Reworked drive / overdrive behavior, especially smoother and wider midrange response
* Updated UI to expose the new gate controls

amplab v0.8.0 — Release changes

- Reduced input level to handle hot humbuckers and boost pedals better
- Less unwanted distortion at lower Gain settings
- Removed clicks and crackling while turning controls
- Smoother real-time control changes
- Cleaner pick attack with less harsh high-frequency fizz
- Improved cabinet response under heavy load
- More consistent sound across different guitars and pickup outputs

Amplab 0.8.0 and Iron Stack 0.4.0 are now also available as free experimental Android builds.

They includes the full signal chain: gate, drive, preamp, power amp and cabinet. A USB audio interface is recommended. Latency and stability depend on the Android device.

Also free desktop demo for Iron Stack is also available.

The demo was recorded using a Fishman Fluence Classic bridge humbucker in full humbucking mode (no coil split).
