Could be confusing to some users if it would cycle.

Post

I guess so, but many apps do cycle back. But if you'd rather not do that, it's not a big deal.

Found a bug:

Start New Project,
Add new track using a MuDrum preset e.g. Starter Kit
Open the Starter Kit Rack Modular Area.
- Notice the Slot containing the Starter Kit has four audio outputs.
back in the rack - replacing the mudrum with a different Mux preset changes the number of outputs correctly for the new preset,
but replacing it instead with a vst, vst3 or clap plugin does not - the cable joining to the next slot disappears, leaving no audio output for the plugin.

Took me a little while to work out why I was getting no sound when changing to a plugin, but watching what happens in the rack modular area made it clear.

Confirmed. Thx for reporting this :tu:
Will research this in depth and work out a solution.

It seems to be the same bug that happens in the demo song "Dreams of The Piano":
if I change the instrument in the "Piano" track to any other third-party instrument (VST3, VST2, CLAP, etc...), the "Piano" track no longer produces any sound.

Post

Indeed the same bug. It happens when a MUX has multiple outputs. Working on a solution. Thx!

MuLab App M10.2.30 beta is available:
https://www.mutools.com/mulab/app/lates ... /beta.html

What's changed:
  • When replacing a multi-output MUX in a rack slot, the connections of the first slot jack were lost. Fixed.

Is it me or has the Plugin Manager moved from the Browser? I can only access it via the MuLab Menu button. Also, I closed MuLab to update it, but then now it wont start at all, It shows in Task Manager, but nothing appears onscreen. I am not in a position to be able to restart as I am working on a non-music project. I have killed the task several times and restarted, but nothing happens.
Ok, I was forced to restart as I needed to test a plugin. Seems it was me! The top four entries were gone, but they are back now and MuLab running ok.

All versions updated to MuLab 10.2.31.

MuLab App: https://www.mutools.com/mulab/app/lates ... /beta.html

MuLab Plugin: https://www.mutools.com/mulab/plugin/la ... /beta.html

What's changed:
  • When drag-dropping an existing MUX modular on the + Rack button, this decomposed the modular structure of that MUX, which obviously was unintended. Fixed.
  • Due to a change in the window management in M10.2.29, resizing windows on Windows now caused an unpleasant flickering. Fixed.
  • Optimized an internal, frequently used piece of code, an optimization that may be most noticeable in an increased load speed for projects. Also various other functions benefit from this optimization, but maybe a bit less noticeable. This optimization spares many CPU cycles which is also better for our planet.
