Hi everyone,
I’m Matt, and I just released Heretic, the first plugin from an effects brand I've been working on called Wired Saint.
Heretic is a multi-mode distortion designed for character-heavy processing. It’s got five different distortion algorithms under one interface:
- SOFT: tube-style saturation
- HARD: brick-wall hard clipping
- RECT: octave-up fuzz via rectification
- FOLD: wavefolding
- CRUSH: bit + sample-rate reduction
The Drive and Shape knobs behave differently in each mode: asymmetry, scream filter, fold density, decimation, and so on. The visuals respond to the mode and parameter settings, and there is a utility bar with a handful of help features like automatic gain compensation, bass crossover, etc.
Format: VST3 / AU (Windows & macOS)
Price: $29 introductory price with promo code LAUNCH29 until July 1st (Retail $49)
There’s more information and audio samples at wiredsaint.com
I’d love to hear any feedback you may have about Heretic, and look forward to finding ways to improve it and future plugins.
Thanks!

Just updated Heretic to v1.1 and added a free trial download. It’s the same installer as the full version with no time limits or feature lockouts. It just mutes for 2 seconds about every minute.
I also updated the original post with a proper demo video so you can see Heretic in action.
v1.1 Changes:
- Resolved an issue causing audio pops when switching presets with AGC and Bass Crossover active.
- Added trial mode.
Cheers!
