Fun. Try the Elektron and Mackie files, too.

The NAM loader is added to the masterbus. Besides that, there was a major bug causing clocking issues in Logic & Cubase, this is fixed now. version 4.0.4 up

Is there a way for us to subscribe to receive updates? Also, the NAM profiles I loaded all sound crackly. Audio file attached.

Update: found it and fixed it.
The crackle happened on Windows when a NAM profile was loaded in a session running at anything other than 48 kHz. NAM models run natively at 48k, so BeatForge resamples around the model when your session is at 44.1/88.2/96k — and my resampler had a per-block rounding bug: every audio buffer it asked the interpolator for one sample too many, which got padded with zeros. Result: a tiny discontinuity at block boundaries, audible as crackle on loud material. For some reason it wasn't noticeable on Mac and crackled on Windows.
Rewrote the resampling as a proper streaming converter (no rounding, no padding, sample counts always balance).
Big thanks to the Uncle E who sent me the recording
For updates: the standalone shows a popup when a new version is out, and the KVR product page tracks releases too.

By request of CARLOSIGLS , I've added a "Drag Sequence MIDI" button — drag it straight into your DAW, or click it to save a .mid file. It exports your programmed steps (with swing, flams and velocity) as MIDI.
For new songs it works out of the box: keytrack is now off by default, and each track gets a MIDI note assigned automatically starting from C1/36. Change the notes to whatever you like in the Mixer tab first, then export.
For songs saved in a previous version of BeatForge, you'll need to set things up manually per track in the Mixer tab: turn keytrack off, and assign a MIDI channel and note.
One thing to watch: after exporting, clear your steps — otherwise both the step buttons and the imported MIDI will trigger the sounds at the same time.

It might be a good idea to have it default to starting at C2, since that's the more common MIDI standard.
btw, sorry for forgetting to mention Beatforge in that other thread. I don't know how it slipped my mind, I was just using it before posting that.

depends on the daw, C1 is 36 in logic, in reaper C2 is 36. anyways you can choose it in the mixertab.
Don't know if you noticed, but a track can also be set to midi out, this is to combine BeatForge with other drummachines, soft or hardware.

True. Anyway, it's no problem for me, I just created default songs mapped to my DAW's.

Are we able to set choke groups?

of course, right click the track names and choose a mute group. shift - click selects multiple tracks. for quick editing this also can toggle stepbuttons on and of for multiple tracks.

btw, Beatforge's slicer works great with Octatrack sample chains. The big interface makes it easier to work with than my other slicers.

nice to hear. I still think the slicer from reason recycle is better, especially the tails it generates, I've been trying to get something similar but got stuck pretty amazing what they did.
