Is there any way to make 1 affect phase of individual partials of 2 in spectrum OSC mode?

No, there isn't. Been thinking about it, but it seems to me that this would add a vast layer of complexity for possibly little returns... what do you think?

The plot domain already shows a "ghost" image of the partials, so that would make sense (and not cause confusion)
However, I wouldn't want to miss out on one OSC FX to modify phase.
The curve axis should have a separate Phase block to edit (only in spectrum mode)

But thinking about it now, there would be greater benefits if the phase could be modulated separately, on a dedicated axis, rather than on the same mod path as the waveform.

One day maybe we start a set of experiments for phase manipulation. See how much value it has, for how much effort is needed.
I would much rather put this in an OscFX than make users edit two Spline Curves in Spectrum mode.

Do you mean that 1 would affect only curve 2 and not any of the other curves that might be playing?eclipse_soundlab wrote: Sun May 31, 2026 6:07 am Is there any way to make 1 affect phase of individual partials of 2 in spectrum OSC mode?

no. in first example phase status is determined by mapomatic curve knob state/knob modulation. so waveform axis modulation dont change phase modulation because its done by mapomatic osc fx and mapomatic curve knob position.pdxindy wrote: Sun May 31, 2026 6:33 pmDo you mean that 1 would affect only curve 2 and not any of the other curves that might be playing?eclipse_soundlab wrote: Sun May 31, 2026 6:07 am Is there any way to make 1 affect phase of individual partials of 2 in spectrum OSC mode?

Have there been any updates to this? Now that inMusic seems to be officially taking over at NI, apparently without too many substantial changes (so far), will NKS support be back on the front burner?
Thanks!

To be honest, I have no idea. Not much word yet from NI.tribalogical wrote: Sat Jun 13, 2026 7:22 pmHave there been any updates to this? Now that inMusic seems to be officially taking over at NI, apparently without too many substantial changes (so far), will NKS support be back on the front burner?

We're currently prioritising some bugfixes and left over issues.

I did make an unofficial NKS conversion but the template is a basic static one and not dynamic like it would be if it was generated per patch (I have no way to do that)

Neither do we at the moment btw. - we would have to write logic for every module in Zebra that extracts "the parameters that do something in the current setup". Which is quite a task and may take weeks to implement, test and debug.

I know - I think Zebra 2 is the only plugin that could ever do that - it was very clever but must have taken a lot of workUrs wrote: Sun Jun 14, 2026 7:42 amNeither do we at the moment btw. - we would have to write logic for every module in Zebra that extracts "the parameters that do something in the current setup". Its was hard for Diva as well... speaking if which, we have a set of feature requests for NKS that has been, you know, not implemented yet, that would improve the experience so, so much... I hope we can have communication about that soon, seeing that M-Audio is invested in NKS, too, so maybe they want to bring it forward.

That would be good. I thought Diva would have been different though, when I made my own template for it I was able to take advantage of the fact that swapping modules mostly did not change the param Id - so the Obie Cutoff was the same as the Moog etc cutoff. With Zebra every patch is essentially a new synth architecture.

Well, as official NKS partner, there is a quality control process where NI needs to green light a release. So if there is a parameter that isn't doing anything because, say, the current mode of the module doesn't use it or because the module is switched off, then it needs to be fixed. But I don't really know if that procedure is still in place.
