Opsix is still very much porked. I just got a new laptop so I thought maybe Opsix would work on it and tried it out, gave it one last chance. Ho ho ho...
New lappie is a core ultra9, 32RAM, all wizzbang and shiney. Even using a newer version of Cubase since all the previous deacles with Opsix, now on C14.
And the denormal thing is possibly even stronger now. It at least works fine when playing but stop and idle then within 2 seconds - 75% CPU :o . That's impressive :hihi: , that is a shitload of CPU it's using. I think I'll just delete Opsix and give up finally. It seems to be permanently f**ked for me.

I don't get that high CPU here like you mentioned. I'm not using Cubase though, and it's not a laptop. I use Cakewalk Sonar. The PC has a i7-10700 CPU and 16 GB RAM.

Did you try it with another DAW?

I dunno why it won't work for me. New laptop is different make from last one. Seems like it will work on Cubase for some but won't for me on 3 different versions of Cubase now. I'm starting to take it personally :x

Did you optimize your laptop for audio ?

And is it confirmed the latest version of Opsix?

Actually, no I haven't got around to that yet. The previous one was though - and Opsix porked out on 2 versions of Cubase. I'll tweak the new one but don't expect it to make Opsix work.

Yeah, I think so, but I'll go back and double check, not at home right now. I think it was - 1.3.something?

Double check your folders and registry to make sure there's only one installation of it also. One thing you can try also is to uninstall completely, delete the registry entries, reboot and reinstall. Updates are supposed to go to the previous locations, but for some will go to a different "default" and cause a schism within itself. Possibly resulting in the same or similar issues you're having. I've had it happen to me but was able to correct it quickly. It just took a little persistence.
