To compare with Acustica, you'd need to add some kind of stereoizer to simulate the one in Expanse-5. The real Prophet-5 Rev 4 has a single mono output.

You can do inverted envelopes on every single parameter using the XMOD and there's a highpass filter in the effects section, which can also be modulated with the XMOD envelope.Buka wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 8:21 pm Inverted filter envelope and highpass filter like on Pro-53 would be great![]()

A quick workaround would be to copy layer A>B and hard pan each left and right — if both layers have vintage drift the result is delicious.Uncle E wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 8:21 pm To compare with Acustica, you'd need to add some kind of stereoizer to simulate the one in Expanse-5. High pass filter in the effects section is not per voice though right? How does xmod envelope work when not per voice given that’s triggered by note on? Always last note played?Uncle E wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 8:24 pmYou can do inverted envelopes on every single parameter using the XMOD and there's a highpass filter in the effects section, which can also be modulated with the XMOD envelope.Buka wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 8:21 pm Inverted filter envelope and highpass filter like on Pro-53 would be great![]()

Correct. It works like a paraphonic filter in that case.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 8:38 pm High pass filter in the effects section is not per voice though right? How does xmod envelope work when not per voice given that’s triggered by note on? Always last note played?

Now *that* is the ultimate solution.
You make very solid points.
I actually wish my ears preferred the software.
Far more practical.
I've got a handful of hardware instruments that stay put (don't get used live)... and it's getting harder to justify adding more.
Though it's not high-priority, I'd like to have another Prophet 10.
That and the MiniMoog are probably my two favorite analog synths.
Both super simple... and beautiful sounding within their confines.
