Converting Synth1 presets to Hive?

You might have to have a binary blob for each FX combination you want. Or, set FX Mix to dry for any FX that is not enabled.

Yeah I had thought about that, but I wouldve preferred to do it via the real On/Off buttons if possible. Is there any way it can be done? Or far too complex? Oh, hang on... I see what you mean, so have one blob for only Distortion On, another for Phaser On, that becomes complex fast though! I need so many variations to do it correctly if done that way. Are those my only options then?
Thanks for the help though!

I made a mistake, there aren’t 10000 presets, there are actually 22079 presets for Synth1! I've currently converted 14092 to Hive, another 7000 or so to do. First, I am updating Synth1 banks so they are up to date, saved with the current Synth1 v1.1.3b3, else the conversion wont work, as each Synth1 version used a different method of saving/loading preset key=values, it must've gotten updated over time? Anyway, there's a lot of good stuff in there if anyone is interested? They aren’t accurate, many are close enough, some don’t work at all, but for preset freaks like me, its a treasure trove!

Sl23 - Thanks for all your effort in this. I'm taking a gander at the patches in Synth1 Pack1 and I get "Plug-In too old for preset" on all pf the patches that I've selected. The patch loads but it still requires an OK to dismiss the message. I don't want to waste your time but I've read all of the posts for this topic and I didn't see anything mentioned about this. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, also "Never interrupt someone doing what you said couldn't be done" Amelia Erhart

Well, sounds like you have an old version of Hive, then.

Well that's kinda embarrassing. I wasn't aware that there were any "new" versions of Hive in the last few years. BUT indeed I had 211 and 212 has been available for a few years. Thank you.

Hehe, since privacy laws and resulting policies (which are commonly a good thing!) make it difficult to keep users posted about updates, we thought it might be a good thing to use "preset age" vs "plug-in age" to notify users. Maybe we should change the wording to something more focussed on the update part?
Btw. I get notifications right here on KVR when something I own gets updated. I guess one simply has to say "I own this" (not sure?) and then whenever a new version arrives, I get nagged until I confirm that I'm up to date (which I can just do regardless of updating or not, in case I want to get rid of the nag)

Ah yes, you're right, I never mentioned it here. But I did mention it on the downloads that presets were converted to Hive v2.1.2.16520.
EDIT: Updated above posts to reflect the requirement.

Btw, glad someone is interested, so enjoy! It was actually great fun doing this. Love the quote too!
I think they were too concerned about accuracy, I'm not. Remember, some won't work, unless you fiddle a bit with them, I dint find many of those, but too time consuming to do it manually!
I'll post the other packs soon as KVR allows...
Let me know if there's any issues with them.
