Hi Kevin,

I sent you an e-mail on June 5th, maybe you have not received it?
I managed to make the RC plug-in work in Cantabile Performer when Hi-DPI mode is enabled.

RapidComposer has been tested in all major DAWs as well as several smaller hosts, but Cantabile Performer appears to handle the plugin UI differently. There is a setting that allows RapidComposer to work correctly in Cantabile Performer when Hi-DPI mode is enabled. Please open the standalone version of RapidComposer, click the Settings tab, then the User Interface tab. Scroll down to Rendering, and set Windows UI scaling to Disabled.

Please note that although window resizing works normally in other DAWs, in Cantabile Performer I recommend resizing the plugin window using RapidComposer's built-in resize handles.

Unify 2 indeed has a serious problem, a kind of feedback loop with window resizing that leads to a crash. I am investigating if this can be fixed on the plugin side.
I am also checking FL Studio, which used to work. I am sorry about these issues.

Thanks,
Attila

I have checked FL Studio, and it uses a wrong window size when the RC editor opens (a kind of mismatch between points and pixels on HiDPI screens). The fix: close and reopen the plugin window. You can resize the window using the RC resize handles. I could not resize the FL Studio plug-in window itself.

Unify 2 has a bug which caused a window resize feedback loop. When RC set the window height to 600, Unify reported that the host changed the window height to 601. Then RC set the height to 601, Unify reported it has changed it to 602, etc. I added a workaround so that the RC plugin can be used in Unify 2.

I'll upload a new beta version in a few minutes.
Kevin, I'll send you the download links in email. Thank you for reporting these problems!

Thanks,
Attila

I have a problem with minimizing and maximizing. I downloaded the latest beta version (Win) and am using it as a demo.

When I minimize RC and right-click on the Task Bar to close RC, something strange happens. The next time I try to run RC, the RC window remains minimized on the Task Bar and cannot be maximized. this problem occurs when I use RC as a demo and I have to click on Full Edition Demo every time.

The only way to maximize is to use Task Manager and select maximize, which doesn't seem like a good method.

I'd love to get an overhauled GUI interface on Rapid Composer to bring it up to date with the best DAW gui's. It's a little outdated. I'd like to see it shine and maybe the developer could hire a skin designer like KVR's local user satYatunes who is a popular skin designer who did skins for plugins like Synthmaster and Synthmaster One that look very fancy. satYatunes designs free and pay skins.

Hello Phlangeez,

thanks for posting.
All colours, fonts, button edges, shading, roundings, etc are customizable in RapidComposer, there are more than 170 UI settings.
Which do you think the best DAW GUIs?

Thanks,
Attila

Hi foster911,

many thanks for reporting this! It turned out, Windows uses -32000 as the window position x and y coordinate when it is minimized. RC just stored these coordinates without checking if they make sense, when closing. I have fixed this, and will upload a small bug-fix update early next week.

Thanks,
Attila
