In P mod the mod amount covers the slices, each one has a separate overlay, seems pretty good so far, I'm only 5mins in though

Thanks - I haven't upgraded yet (still on v5), so can't try that just yet. But when you said offset a slice by +100, I assume this means the bar that covers the slice - How does that relate to pitch modulation? Is this the intensity of all the modulations in the device for that P? As a percentage? What if it was +50, would that mean pitch modulation would actually be 6 semitones up?pdxindy wrote: Thu Jun 18, 2026 7:22 pmAs an experiment, you can select P1 and offset Slice 1 +100.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Thu Jun 18, 2026 6:18 pmI'm still a bit confused about how these P modulators work. So for slices, when you select one of them, it looks like you can offset each slice and different knob values. So how do you define when something is using P1 offsets vs P2 or how do the different P modulations work together? I don't even know if my question even makes sense.pdxindy wrote: Thu Jun 18, 2026 3:42 pmIn the practical sense, 3 is likely enough... in the mad scientist approach, no way!Dionysos wrote: Thu Jun 18, 2026 3:31 pm Love it, this looks super powerful while still simple to use. I like the way the modulators are integrated for per-slice settings (will 3 be enough though?).

Now, if you modulate say Pitch +12 semitones via P1, then Slice 1 will play 1 octave up and the other slices will still be at default.
If you want a slice to play at half speed, or have a short loop point or a long loop point, different granular settings, etc., that's what P1, P2 and P3 are for.
Am I understanding it right that you have 3 P's for maximum modulations across all slices and then you can set relative amounts of each slice in relation to all modulations of P1 for example?

Yes, the bar over the slices define how much the P1 mod destinations affect that individual slice.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Thu Jun 18, 2026 7:31 pm How does that relate to pitch modulation? The new sampler looks killer!
Fingers crossed they (finally) update the manual with this release...

A Tuner!
That is really cool, now I can tune my guitar fully inside BWS

I literally just bought an MPC Sample and a day after it arrives I can now have the same workflow turned up to 11 with Bitwig and a launchpad. I'll keep the Sample for fun and the hands-on approach often generates different ideas but man, it feels way less exciting now. Oh well...
Edit a few hours later: Nah, the MPC is still way more fun as a sampler.

Damn, their emails to me weren't kidding about having removed the multi-track MIDI workflow in 6.0 and not bringing it back in the future. I was holding out hope that maybe they had some feature that wasn't ready for 6.0 that would give the same capabilities as 5.x and earlier. Me and the other person at our studio that uses Bitwig were holding onto our licenses in case 6.1 had some remedy. Well, time to sell. What a bummer.

Sorry, I don't want to derail this thread too much for the people who want to enjoy the (nice looking) new sampler features.
