Carbon Electra 2 – VST3/AU/AAX – Musical Synth with Wave Terrain Oscillators

Congratulations on the upgrade and thanks for explaining! I see there are quite many nice additions like the Wave Terrain oscillator. Still the classic oscillators are available as well. Surely most elements can be mapped somehow. Like for example, if the filter cutoff ranges are now a bit different, this could be scaled. If there is something that can't be mapped 1:1 because of different parameters there is surely still at least something close to it (e.g. the delay has less parameters now).
IMO selling a huge palette of preset packs and letting the customer throw them away after the upgrade leaves quite a bad taste and is not in line with todays sustainability expectations.

Hi and thanks for the post and feedback, a few points!

* We never created or sold any preset packs. That was Plugin Boutique.
* CE1 is till fully compatible and works fine so not unreasonable for a 10+ year end of life on a soft synth.
* We did recreate quite a few CE1 to CE2 presets but my goodness they sound so different! Scripting * them was much worse.
* We have a few hundred more presets coming in an update very soon with some more goodies!

Hi, today we’re introducing Carbon Electra 2, a synth that’s cut from the same cloth as Scaler, with Scale Locking oscillators and filter, plus an in-depth sequencer that can program chords, inversions and substitutions.

Congrats for this synth. I`ve just installed the trial version to give it a go, and I have a simple question: what are the main differences between the trial and the full versions of CE2?

I`m using only the VST3 file with my Daw, right now.
