No it doesn't emulate a prophet 5 v1-3.
It is a emulation of the new prophet 5 rev 4 and was made together with sequential which is the reason why it has the sequential logo on it and have the same filter options and similar tuning behavior that the prophet 5 rev 4 has.

So it is a Prophet 5 rev 4 vst.

Not what it says on the website. Doesn't mention the rev4 at all.

But there is a Rev 4 mode for the voice tuning. It says it in the manual. And they told me in an email that they based it on the Rev 4.

Just the tuning?

GForce told me
we modelled the software on two Rev4 Prophet 10s and a Rev4 Prophet 5. Our own classic Rev2 and Rev3 models were used less scientifically, as inspiration, as they are well worn now. It is important to note that our software is a model of a Rev 4, including how the Vintage knob works.

The Prophet Rev 4 hardware emulates the revision 1-2 filter, and the revision 3 filter with an option to switch between both types*. The Vintage knob then further seeks to emulate the turning and slop behavior of those with the the Rev1 setting being very unstable, like real Rev 1's were. There are other unique Rev 4 features that are totally new to this revision.

This plugin is an emulation not of the originals, but rather the Rev 4. If still unclear, research the Prophet Rev 4 until it clicks. The plugin is an emulation of the modem Rev 4. Not the vintage Prophets.

*Note: these are modern approximations, even in the hardware.

Strange there is not a mention of the rev4 on the website, or the gui...
For the first-ever official Prophet~5 plugin, Sequential has collaborated with GForce Software to honour the sound, feel and character of the original instrument in software. It brings together Sequential’s place in the history of analogue synthesis with our long-standing experience in creating expressive, authentic virtual instruments.

You're just not understanding what the Rev 4 is. Go look up the hardware then compare.

Which Prophet has the Vintage knob?

Are we arguing about whether something is an emulation of something, or an emulation of an re-creation of something?

If you consider a rev4 as an emulation of a rev3 and so on, which is not too much of a stretch, then this plugin is an emulation of an emulation of an emulation of an emulation. What nobody has yet considered is...what do emus think of all this taking their name in vain? ...and why is it not an ostrichulation? :?
