Well..that fixed all the UI problems i had. Very nice! Thanks!

EDIT: it seems that the VELVET delay is behaving better as well. :tu:

Yesterday I replaced four different basslines in old songs with Rumble. It made a huge difference to all of them, the cut-through is incredible and the bottom end is so controllable. The mixes are punchier and much clearer. I'm lovin' it more and more. I think the last new VSTi that got me this engaged was probably the alpha of what became Proxima, before it got put on ice for a couple of years so they could do Legend HZ.

Does it sound better than just throwing ott on them?

I don't find compressing basslines has much, if any effect on them. OK, maybe some multiband compression here and there but mostly I find compression just makes it louder, not better. Rumble's OTT actually has the effect of killing the bottom end, not very handy for basslines. I mostly use OTT on vocals, where it works brilliantly to even out the quieter passages and the louder bits without me having to ride the levels.

What do you attribute that to, are you avoiding unison to create character, and instead using the differences between bands, i.e. retaining the clarity of non-unison while avoiding the simplicity of basic waveforms? Or perhaps unison in the higher bands only?
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

In fact, it would probably be my no. 1 go-to synth if it did because I've been a big KiloHearts user for a long time and, generally, I like the way they do things. But it doesn't and even though KiloHearts clearly know this, the best fix they've offered has been to put a better filter in as an effect, which requires a different, more complex signal flow to use and, honestly, why should I be bothered with a kludge like that? Why won't they just add the newer, better filters to the main filter section?
BONES wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2026 8:33 am When they introduced the Non-Liner filter, it was only available as an effect and they said they had no plans to do any more with it. If they've since put it into the filter, that's great but it's a day late and a dollar short for me, I moved on years ago. But thanks for the info, it might encourage me to go back and have another look at it.
...
The Filter Table looks interesting too but, again, it needs to be in the main part of the signal flow to be properly useful. Still, it is the one and only Kilohearts product I don't own (not counting preset packs) so I should probably just spend the $39 for completeness, if nothing else.
Totally agree that PP's biggest deficiency is the lack of decent filters in the oscs. They did add the nonlinear filters, but IMO they should go way further. Filter Table is awesome and they should just add that to the oscs as well. That would completely eliminate the issue of PP's lack of decent filtering.

Apparently the next major release of PP is right around the corner, so maybe it gets resolved then.

Unison in the character band only lets me pump up the bottom end without making the mix go to shit. But also the snappy envelopes give lots of punch.

really thinking of getting this synth, i got enough with Serum 2 etc. but somehow this is a joy to play but I HATE!!! really hate the clicking, you need to click so much with your mouse to select the shapes etc. why cant this be a standard to change parameters/selections also with a mousewheel? ;).
is there a chance to implement this? i got less than 48 hours to decide!

also why can you MUTE the bands but not SOLO?

another one, why cant i module the Reverb Size for example?

thx :tu:

You mean iterate in shape ror filter menu using the mouse wheel ?
should be doable but I'm not sure I get the rationale behind.

Command + click will mute others resulting in a solo

The algorithm of the reverb do not like it very much :)

what a fast reply!!!! appreciate it asap ;).

will buy it anyways later today when im back but to follow up my posts :).

1. the non-scrollable options are really a clickfest, thats why it is a joy in Serum and other VSTs to just be able to scroll IF YOU WANT, and i love it , especially for sound design and happy accidents.

e.g. here

rumble2.jpg
2. solo/mute, but why not add a S button there as well?
rumble3.jpg
3. ahhh ok about the non-modulatable parameter, hope all modulatable are also possible :D

4. one additional question, might there be a chance to add a randomizer in future? just a sidequestion.

much appreciated!
