I can see advantages in using the simplified interface of the Remote app on stage, on the same machine you're running Studio Pro. There'd also be a case for using it on a Windows laptop or 2-in-1 to control a desktop PC.jamcat wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 1:12 am I don't think there ever was a Windows mobile version of the Studio One Pro Remote. It's always been just iOS and Android. If you have a Windows touch screen device, then you don't need a touch screen remote. Just run Studio Pro on the Windows touch screen. Unless you're saying its not powerful enough. In that case, get a MacBook Ultra when they come out in a few months.

Fender Studio Pro includes the Mustang Native plugin. Is it better than Helix? You tell me. Here's a video comparison of the Fender Twin model to a real Fender Twin.Grizzellda wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 3:20 am I think Fender is going to do progressive things here...the web site looks great.
Linux support, wow, super (DUPER) impressed!![]()

And really, some pretty good guitar stuff, looks like. Solid.
Reviews have said that the fairly new, modern ToneMaster hardware pedal is quite good, I would like to get one. Some of that DSP is prolly in the DAW, or is gonna be!!!![]()

Well, I hope so!! Will it compete with the Helix? Well, that is the question!![]()

To me, it's pretty obvious which is the real amp and which is the plugin. It's not bad, but I don't think it can compete with TONEX or UAD Paradise Guitar Studio.

Well, these are subjective observations, right?
Currently, I am quite grateful for what I call ''the advent of the personal computer''...all this stuff is cool!!!

Not quite ready to take credit for it, but it is meaningful!

Studio One Remote is officially supported on Windows tablets. It allows wireless control of transport, mixing, and macros. To use it, simply download the Studio One Remote app from the Microsoft Store, ensure your devices are on the same local Wi-Fi network, and enable DAW discovery.jamcat wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 1:12 am I don't think there ever was a Windows mobile version of the Studio One Pro Remote. Your AI mixes up Fender Studio (the free mini-DAW) and the Fender Studio Pro Remote Control.heliacal wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 4:50 pm Studio One Remote is officially supported on Windows tablets. You are correct. It indeed used to be available for Windows tablets.heliacal wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 8:05 pm Ok well just using the Google crap summary, but I used to use it on my Surface Pro with Studio One but it seems to not be available anymore...
I found this:

"...or Windows® tablet, Surface, or Surface Pro..."
So I dug deeper and discovered there used to be a link for it on PreSonus.com, which I found in the Wayback Machine here: https://web.archive.org/web/20241007211 ... /downloads
This is the most recent crawl, performed on Oct 7, 2024.
The Windows downloads on the archived page work, and will download Studio One Remote Installer v1.8.2, which was released on April 02, 2024.
Here is the direct download link:
https://web.archive.org/web/20241007091 ... ller11.exe
I also found this on archive.org, which seems to consist of various versions of Studio One Remote for Windows: https://archive.org/download/studio-one ... 49155/win/
I'm not on Windows right now, so I haven't tested and have no idea if it will work with Fender Studio Pro. But there it is, if anyone wants to grab it.

Thanks for that.
I'm grateful that I can now run a full live set from an 8.8" PC without having to freeze or pre-render anything. It's what I've wanted to do for the last 10-12 years and finally I can, thanks to gaming handheld PCs. And when I'm at home I stick it in its cradle - where it connects to a 27" monitor, mouse and keyboard - and its just like using my $10,000 workstation at work. Actually, it's better than the workstation because I've got more local storage and don't have to rely on servers for storing everything.Grizzellda wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 5:26 amCurrently, I am quite grateful for what I call ''the advent of the personal computer''...all this stuff is cool!!!

Here's the version of Studio One Remote for Windows 8.1 32-bit from the archived site:BONES wrote: Fri Jun 26, 2026 11:49 pm I have this great little Lenovo thing that's the perfect size but it's 12 years old now and it's just about had it. It runs 32 bit Windows 8.1 so it can't run much newer software and it feels so slow today.
