Don't discount some of the new DAW's spawning from the release of the Tracktion engine. They almost universally have a ways to go, but at some point they may cure some of your ills with Traction Waveform itself, if you have any of course.

Personally, I have never really liked most of the waveform design, since long before it was called that even. ymmv

I like the Magda one a lot so far. AI component is optional. Dev is moving very quickly.

I'm keeping an eye on Magda. Doesn't feel ready just yet but it should get there in time.

For Tracktion, all I want is the free edition to not require online activation. Instead of having it default to the stupid demo version with the audio nags, just default to the free edition.

Lots of new stuff, hidden in lots of menus.
More and more the workflow changes to the Cubase, Fender Studio and all this other linear DAWs style. It has lost its original colour s, now it looses the objekt window at the button. It looses its style and charme. AI help with additional costs, surround mixing no one needs. I hate this new implementations since the action buttons. But I am just on user and all the others want it so....

I've liked Tracktion since the free Mackie nfr version of it and Tracktion 2 . Waveform has turned into something a tad different, but it still feels like Tracktion . I'll probably upgrade to W 14 soon .
