I guess I'm going to get the plugin. I've been putting it off figuring I'd get the hardware version first and get the discount. I may still get the hardware, but it won't be anytime soon. I also want another guitar, so guitar vs synth...

However, what i find quite strange, is that a lot of knobs can't be modulated by lfo's, s/h, etc. Especially the fx parameters. Sure..those are monophonic and most normal mods are polyphonic, but that shouldn't be an issue, honestly (Pigments and a whole lot of other synths do this quite well).

Maybe i am not in depth enough (yet) but is there a way to do that? Or is that only possible with external mods? (Via cc or what have you)
You're right, that is pretty weird, especially since most of the FX seem to be coded to work correctly with their parameters continuously adjusted while audio is passing through.

The plugin will cost you a lot more than buying it at full price if you think about buying the hardware to get the plugin cheaper and then resell the Hardware.

It only make sense to do it if you are planning on keeping both ;)

It is on sale atm. for $99.99 in the Korg shop (What a weird price instead of going for $100)

Pretty sure there will be a feature update for the hardware, because last two updates included cpu optimizations. They are building up resources space for more processing...

I want the hardware (to keep). I figured I'd get the plugin version anyway (one would think it would be free for hardware buyers).

When you buy the Hardware you get a voucher that let you buy the vst plugin for $49 :)
It does have its own Midi Editor/Librarian that is free to download that can only be used with the Multi/Poly.

just speculating but i think they wanted to limit the scope regarding the hardware UI (it's already pretty dense), bunch of FX parameters aren't exposed either on the HW. also them not expecting the engine working that well at current oversampling rate i think. modulating 4 layers of FX probably would have added a lot of CPU in extreme mode on the HW (if that became the defacto 'standard' OS rate)
