Hi there,
I upgraded to Waveform 14 (free) yesterday and am liking it so far except for one issue. Previously, I could detach the mixer window and drag it over to a second monitor using the "dock/undock" button in the top right corner of the mixer window. In WF 14, this button is not there. In the user manual, the example image they show of the mixer window has the button, but it does not appear in my DAW. I have attached screenshots of the example in the manual and what I am seeing. I have also tried the technique of using the new tab button to open a new tab with the mixer of the specific project I'm working on, but this does nothing. In my appearance settings, I do not have "Simplify user interface" selected. Having the mixer on my second monitor is pretty important to my workflow, so I would love some advice on how to fix this.
Thanks in advance!
Waveform 14 Open Mixer in Separate Window

Hi wheelg,
It is a bug with the new version—I experience the same thing. I just reported it to Tracktion.
In the meantime, while there is no way to open the mixer in a separate tab/window in Waveform 14 Free until the issue has been resolved, since W14 gets installed as a separate app from W13, you should still be able to access W13.
Edits that have been saved in W14 won’t open in W13, but if you have project backups from before that, you can restore them from the backups. If you clicked “Convert” on this message before opening an edit (which means W13 won’t recognize the project)… …you can go to the location on your computer where the project is saved and find the W13-compatible version of the project labeled as “[Project Name] (Original).”
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
