Hi everyone, I’m Sasha from DrumMate Labs.I’ve just added DrumMate to KVR and wanted to share it here for feedback from people using Android, MIDI, synths and e-drum setups.
DrumMate is an Android app that turns a USB MIDI drum kit into a live generative band. You connect an e-drum kit over USB MIDI, play, and DrumMate generates bass, keys, lead and pad parts in real time.
The main idea is that the drummer becomes the clock and feel source. Instead of following a click, DAW timeline or backing track, the generated band follows the drummer’s tempo, dynamics, groove, fills, stops and feel.
It has a built-in synth engine, but it can also send generated MIDI out to external synths, modules or DAW instruments.
The app is currently in free closed beta on Google Play. No ads, no accounts, and no user data leaves the device.

I’m mainly trying to understand where this would actually be useful: practice, live jamming, writing, hardware synth setups, or something else.
Would love any honest thoughts.
