Here is some info about what the Drive and Character controls are doing:
Character controls the resonance compensation. Many classic filters lose low-end level when increasing resonance. With Character at -100 %, you get the classic response, 0 % has full level compensation, +100 % has increased bass response.
Drive controls the level going into the filter, resulting in overdrive distortion. It also often has the effect of smoothing out resonance. Gain staging plays an important role in analog synthesizers, as it can completely change the character of the filter. Using Input and Output can help here

Stereo by default. However, you can change them to other modes, such as mono, mid, side, etc
