Installing MDrummer samples to external drive on Linux

Hello,
My laptop running Linux (elementary OS 8.1) has a smaller internal SSD that I need to be careful with. If I install MDrummer through yabridge, will I have an option to install the MDrummer samples to an external drive?
Thank you!

It's Linux, you can mount the external drive using fstab and use soft links to redirect MDrummer samples internal dir to a folder on the external drive, no problem on that

Does anyone know how much space MDrummer takes up without the samples (that will go on the external drive) please? Thomann's listing says minimum: 6GB? I might need to take into account Visual C++ dependencies...

In MDrummer you need to have everything in one place - there are too many different kinds of resources there. So you need to put everything on the external drive. The basis that needs to be on the system drive are small and shared with other Melda plugins - a few hundred megs I guess.

Hi, so what do I need to do? Do I just install the samples on the external drive using the installer, do I need to install anything else on there please?
