I've gotten this personal abuse from someone named Bones on the Instrument forum thread related to "Rumble"

"And you've made it clear that you have no f**king clue, mate."

Is this really allowed?

Did you report it? It's kind of his MO though, I don't think I've ever seen him get banned for that kind of stuff. They seem to let it slide usually, but who knows until you report it.

He talks like that to everybody at some point so it is not only you.

My solution is that i just ignore it and move on and spend my time and energy on something else

Doesn't sound like personal abuse, just an observation.

I keep blocking and unblocking bonio - he's annoyingly rude and opinionated but when he's not attacking somebody he can actually be quite witty
Maybe that's why he seems to get away with it?

I also think it has to do with his age.
He lived under different times where it was normal to be a bit snarky against each other and still remain friends after that.

I am from the same school going thru the 80s as a kid and you quickly learned to look past snarky comments and let them go in one ear and out of the other

And if people get beyond stupid and a dialog doesn't work then it is time ignore them.

It’s a public forum. I know some people are more sensitive to this stuff but my advice is just don’t take offence and move on.

Personal abuse? What is wrong with you? Might be a language barrier but this is not abuse. Even if Bones would have called you a "fog" ... It might be offensive or a personal attack but you do not seem to understand what abuse means. And again, might be a language barrier but Bones'

is not even a "proper" personal attack or insult. For the record here the sentence of yours (buffalo roam) Bones has replied to
