MCompare Freezing Pro Tools on Session Open (Multiple 'Generate Source' Instances)

Has anyone else run into this issue? It has persisted for a few years now, and when I previously alerted Melda to it, they were fairly dismissive.

The Workflow Context:
A key part of my workflow involves using multiple tracks to "generate source." This allows me to quickly audition audio content from various tracks through my main MCompare instance.

The Bug:
As a session becomes larger and more complex, Pro Tools will completely freeze during session open while trying to restore the tracks containing these "auxiliary" instances of MCompare. This happens reliably, even if my MCompare matrix hasn't changed at all. Furthermore, if the session crashes and I try to restore from session file backups, I almost always encounter a failure to load stemming from this exact issue.

The Proof / Workaround:
I know beyond a doubt that these auxiliary MCompare instances are the root cause. If I open the problematic session with all plugins inactive and manually remove those specific MCompare instances, the session opens up just fine.

Has anyone found a reliable workaround for this, or successfully gotten Melda to acknowledge the issue?

I'm on Pro Tools 2026.4.1, using a Mac Mini M4 Pro.
