Very interesting.
I was mixing creativity and technicity.
As you are speaking of photographers that made me think that creativity can also be as simple as a point of view.
Thanks
How do you know I'm french?
My english is so... Frenchy?

I will not say allé les bleus, I don't care about football, then I will await final and I will say Yeah to the favorites 🤣

Speaking of photographers iPhone 4s is the goat...before they started doing all of the ai image manipulation. The images look real (albeit with a small sensor, etc).

Just looking at well lit photos I snapped with my Pixel 2XL 8 years ago. I like them so much. About to trade it in for $25 off a new pixel which will make every image look well lit but sacrifice reality.

I am very bad placed to write I am going to write because myself I am working on an AI generative sampler, but yes, that's crazy that nowadays we find AI everywhere. Soon our own toilet paper will be enhanced with AI. In order that you never feel alone when you're taking care if your needs 😅
All of that for people who will never use that at its full potential. Only because it's buzzword. The problem is that a buzz word creates so many noises (bzzzzzzz) that it leads the consummers at so many confusion.

Might as well accept it, AI is not gonna go away. Before long your watch will be able to code any plugins you want to make, or even your eye glasses.

What's the difference and why does it matter? A good song is a good song, isn't it? I don't see how you can care about music and give a toss how a good song was created.
ksandvik wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2026 2:19 pm I do all that without using AI, btw. If AI did it, it would be like me ordering pizza, as in the cartoon. In my case I do all the creative stuff
Why? It's just tedious and if you were 1% as creative as AI can be, we'd have heard some of your music by now and all been mightily impressed by it. But you seem to have so little faith in your own creative ability that you lack the confidence to share it. Or maybe you know it's shit and using AI would only make you feel even more inadequate than you do already?
TechHaus wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2026 2:39 pmI make pizza at home all the time and would never order dominoes (or use ai to make my music).
From scratch? Take the flour and make the dough, make your own pizza sauce and all the rest of it? Because Pizza Hut makes their dough fresh every day, from scratch, and makes their sauce ever day, too, from tomato puree. They also get their vegetables delivered fresh daily so the pizza you buy from Pizza hut is probably made from much fresher ingredients than one you'd make at home, with way fewer preservatives and shit like that if you are using pre-made bases and sauce.
enCiphered wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2026 3:02 pmCreativity is the process of making meaningful artistic decisions. Selection, intention, context, arrangement, timing, restraint and knowing what not to change are creative acts too. Sometimes the most creative decision is recognizing that something already says exactly what you wanted it to say.
All of which, of course, is perfect for working with AI. It's like AI was invented just to facilitate that level of creativity in the people using it.
TechHaus wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2026 3:03 pmThere are instruments and genres that I probably can't recreate convincingly.
But why would you want to? There are a lot of genres I probably couldn't do well but that's because I don't connect with them in any way, so I don't really have any way to measure their value. e.g. I couldn't write a convincing sad song because I don't think I've ever been sad in my life. Ditto for a love song. I don't feel those kinds of emotions the way other peole seem to.
As far as the pizza goes I have like 3 regular crusts and 2 cauliflower crusts ready to go in the freezer as we speak. Sauce, toppings, and grate some mozzarella. Maybe some spices. Not a complicated process. I do not require fast food garbage pizza makers. Dominoes is a never. It is kid's food.
All those preservatives you won't get from a nice, fresh Pizza Hut pizza.

I worked for Pizza Hut for a few years, all that Bones said about that was true, back then at least. Cheese is frozen, that’s true as well.

We were the busiest Pizza Hut on the planet at the time actually. Hawaii of all places.

Well, I ran one for 9 years and the only things that came frozen were the prawns (shrimp) and the cheese. The meat was only delivered once a week, pre-cooked, but veges came fresh every day and we made three different kinds of dough fresh every morning. The pan pizza bases had to be left in a heated cabinet for two hours to get them to rise. Any dough that was left over at the end of the night was thrown out. If you bought a pizza early in the day you might get some of yesterday's veges but by dinner time we'd usually be on that day's delivery. You can say what you like about the finished product but the quality of the ingredients that go into it was top-notch when I was working there. Reddit users can go f**k themselves.

To be fair, reddit is the last place I'd look if I was looking for a considered opinion :D
