OT, price discussion: (just jump to next post)

price is much too high

all 3 months comes a new boss out. And if not then once a year. plugins are released inflative, while at the same time there has never been so many folks forking out ....and forking out that much for plugins. A more inteligent approach would be by atempting to cash in by selling in numbers. Those are the guys who actually can create wealth.

As is, it`s mostly for a elite circle of people. Plugin has turned drug now ! "that`s what floods "optional" cash into this market (huge amounts of cash)........but not for that price / your choice

i notes since last BF in general attempts to raise prices back again in this market. Which has "me" started to clamp on my pockets / but the fun was big when it was rolling
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

I guess I’m the only guy on the RTO sub, it’s not bad actually, free perm lic every six months, full usage of everything during that time. Cost came out to be $10 more than the sale price of that plugin. Transit 2. Just earned the first perm lic.

There’s only a couple I don’t own (from Baby), so I won’t be on it for too long probably. Of course the keep adding new ones.

That was just the one I picked, I could have picked any of them I believe.

Although I, for whatever reason, can't find my account on their servers anymore, I'll defend their right to price things however they want. People can't work for free after all. It's also hard to turn a niche product into a top seller as well. So they can't really sell it for less.

Yes, but as there aren't too many bass enhancer plugins available of which most are really super simple, it's really helpful to have a versatile tool that fills this huge gap.
I think complexity and learning curve are still very managable here and there is a place for professional tools that are tweakable.

Oh, I agree. I was just surprised by how deep this goes.

did i say they should ? ....or that they don`t deserve to get their take out ?

did i say they are not free to ask what they think they want to ask ?

you are speculating. based on what ?

i would say based on not beeing informed enough.
Do you understand how this market works in the meantime vs. "people forking out" ?

-> read my signature ! it`s a fact. -> which leads to -> folks buy things they don`t even need ->

There are personal price thresholds. And it`s not that hard to see at what thresholds the number of sales "starts" to pick up.

i`m not hear "to debate" prices ! But i throw in my point when i feel to. But i agree, setting a quite low price tag would raise the risk for the devs....at least in theory. And with this one, yeah, probably even some more.

personally i wish all devs who make a thorough work to get in the desired cash in reasonable amounts ! totally. i`m not a cheap guy. I`ve bought hundreds of plugins i don`t really need. I can and do support devs........

my problem is: raising prices look right now like a sport. so i start to raise my voice.
It`s impossible that this strategy will work out in the long run for this market. it`s lose-lose rather than win-win.

/ Rant - vs. opposing me (based on not understanding what i tryed to say) Anyway.....

a problem i have with a lot of bass enhancement plugins that charge what they do is that they’re billed as the solution to fixing your bass, which obviously is something aimed at inexperienced producers… producers that don’t have the experience to understand that enhancements like these don’t address the most likely problems with their bass- stuff that comes from not understanding the fundamentals of choosing and designing their sounds on the low end and then the relationship between that and writing/arranging their music- resulting in stuff like phase issues and masking. the sort of thing that you need to solve long before mixing a project.

that’s not to say there aren’t plenty of great things these tools can do for experienced producers, i just don’t really see them marketed that way usually. and lets be honest, if you’re experienced enough to understand all that, you probably don’t have issues quickly finding the bass notes when mixing a track that’s not your own (i assume if it was yours you’d have the notes already) and you know how to read a spectrogram so the value for a pitch tracker getting them and automating the processing isn’t as high for you. or maybe that’s just me and i’m out of my mind, who knows

again, this isn’t a knock on baby audio specifically as it’s something i see across the board and there’s clearly a market for stuff like this. and baby audio makes several great plugins that i use all the time, i’m sure this one is high quality as well. i just hope people aren’t thinking that dropping this kind of money is what stands between them and solving the problems they have with their low end, as that’s an expensive lesson to learn when those problems don’t go away
