For anyone running hardware synths on Linux: knob.monster is a life-saver for patch management. Because it runs in Chrome/Chromium via Web MIDI, it handles DX7, Juno-106, Korg M1, and CZ-101 SysEx dumps directly on Linux without compiling anything or messing with command-line tools."

There is a thread with folks angry at Waves and another with folks mad at Universal Audio, and folks wonder why us Linux users are over here happy just making music with tools and companies who don't betray us.

Its getting better, but last time i tried (Bitwig), i was getting weird bug where if i turn any knob, it would be kind of jumpy, both on Wayland or X11 and im a bit OCD so i cant handle even little things like that unfortunately

But the question is, was it a bug with Linux or a bug with Bitwig? Did you report the bug to Bitwig to have them help troubleshoot the issue? That could have helped a lot of people who may have been experiencing the same thing.Worlok wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2026 5:26 pm Its getting better, but last time i tried (Bitwig), i was getting weird bug where if i turn any knob, it would be kind of jumpy, both on Wayland or X11 and im a bit OCD so i cant handle even little things like that unfortunately![]()

You are right, i should've. I didnt because when i was searching for solutions, as always, no one else seemed to notice this on the internet so i assumed its something specific to my setup - like the classic nvidia + linux combo and I gave up. I will def. try again in the near future and report it properly if the issue is still present.audiojunkie wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2026 5:43 pmBut the question is, was it a bug with Linux or a bug with Bitwig?
