Ableton, let's fix AbletonFrits van Zanten wrote: Thu Jul 16, 2026 9:25 pm I gave it some more tries, but it confirms what i wrote before: loading the VST3 in Ableton disables almost all Ableton navigation (DisAbleton) .Play/stop won't work anymore, I guess 90% is not responding anymore. The only thing you can do is close Abeleton. Which I regret, for the plugin certainly has potential.

No problem appreciating humor, but over the years I used/tried over 1500 plugins and this never happened before.

I am currently implementing the ability to move and arrange some panels according to my own preferences,MaZe 6000 wrote: Thu Jul 16, 2026 3:00 pm I think a change to the order of things in the GUI could make a big difference to make the signal flow much more obvious:
Take the left section (MIX/FX etc.) and put it to the right of Oscillator and Noise sections.
Then also change the order inside that section: Main Mix and Output on top, Filter in the Middle, FX on the bottom.
Now you have a clear order of things from top left to bottom right: Oscillator, Noise, Mix, Filter, FX
And to smoothe it out a little bit more, Attack and Decay of the Noise could be on top of the noise section, like on the oscillator, so you get a clear top row of things.
And finally the pitch mod section of the oscillator could go above the optional oscillator mode control boxes and get a little bigger knobs - so that this important part of oscillators is more central and obvious.
With that and consistent knob sizes and spacings, the GUI should be pretty much perfect I think.
Definitely not a bad GUI, just a bit confusing at first to find all controls with the overall structure not being immediately obvious. The graphics and colors are very nice!

I'll try to check it out and see how it works in practice. Maybe I can do something with itFrits van Zanten wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2026 8:22 am No problem appreciating humor, but over the years I used/tried over 1500 plugins and this never happened before.

I'll send you the link when I get it sorted. There's still a lot of work to do on https://omnidaw.com/, it's a tough one.

Does this problem occur immediately after enabling the plugin, or after checking the sync or gate checkbox?

Just tested it. Main factor seems to be 'plugin window open' (= GUI on screen). When GUI closed most navigation works again. But it is not that straightforward. After some operations things are locked 'permanently'.
