Not sure if this is just an issue with my setup. But MPluginManager was denied access to my VST folders and couldn't update certain things until I reinitiated it as administrator.

Win 11 25H2. I enacted no known changes to the permissions of the folder structure of my computer. And I used MPluginManager maybe 2 weeks ago with zero messages stating there were permission issues.

This is exactly what happened to me. Never had this issue until now. I have sent support a screenshot of the error.

Yes, there was an issue caused by recent Microsoft SDK update which requires much more strict settings.

Solution in this thread, you need to redownload MPluginManager again: viewtopic.php?t=631067

Hello Martin,

there seems to be a drastic performance issue with MSoundFactory 17.09: I've upgraded from 17.00 (here is everything ok). The new version seems to produce cpu spikes with several old patches, as soon as I play chords. the cpu meter is around 20-40%, so I assume these are very short cpu spikes. It is always happening on key-down/note-start.

Test system: macOS 15.7, M1Pro, Renoise recent version (also available as fully working demo), 48kHz, 5ms latency

Steps to reproduce: Load a quite cpu very patch (40%). Set to single core. add a table filter into synthesis chain. It should now drastically crackle on key-down if you play more than one note.

This also happens on other patches (also without filter table). These patches played very normally in v17.00, even no matter how many keys. I never reached any kind of cpu limit with this machine and MSoundFactory before, even with 96kHz... Projects, that played fine before now start to crackle.

Can you tell me what's going on here? Is it possible to fix this?

Thank you!
