Retrologue 2 - not authentic enough?

I have 245 patches from HS in Diva, only 1 of the 6 you mentioned is among them: Pazong.
I will look into it later today, but it sounds horrible. Such noise would never enter music of mine. I grew up with music that was very keen on clean production. I am allergic to noise and distortion

You claim you are "allergic to noise and distortion" and prefer "clean production"? Harmonic saturation, non-linear distortion, component noise, and circuit overdrive are literally the foundational physics of analog hardware. Vintage Moogs, tape machines, tube preamps, and console transformers are defined by how they saturate and distort. If you want squeaky-clean, perfectly linear, sterile audio with zero harmonic saturation, you don't want analog at all—you want pure digital! Which completely explains why you love standard digital softsynths so much.

You spent days arguing about "analog sound," only to reveal that you hate harmonic saturation, don't understand signal path drive, and proudly refuse to learn how synths actually function under the hood. You don't want analog warmth—you just want a sterile digital synth with a low-pass filter, stop pretending you're discussing analog character when you're literally allergic to it.

"Pazong" was chosen specifically because it routes Diva's Feedback loop directly into the Moog Ladder filter to demonstrate non-linear circuit overdrive and dynamic saturation. It was meant to show you how a physical circuit modeling engine reacts when pushed hard—something Retrologue’s linear digital code literally cannot replicate without turning into harsh digital clipping.

Its contrasting the actual analog sound of the Moog Minimoog Ladder Filter versus the sterile digital filter of Retrologue. As for digital oscialtors what's the issue? Retrolouge has digital oscillators all you need to worry about is the filter

Retrolouge is adigital plugin executing digital math on a digital CPU. The only reason you think it sounds "analog" compared to a DX7 is because they use a standard subtractive signal path instead of frequency modulation.

To me good, authentic analog sound is the pleasant sound I know from music from the late 70s and early 80s, when analog synths ruled. Obviously you have a different idea what typical analog sound is...

Other times, DIVA does get more "analog-ey". But who cares? I don't. I really like Retrologue for the amazing capabilities that it DOES have, and I'm not kicking it out of my template because it's not like DIVA. DIVA is great on many things, and so is Retrologue. It's definitely "authentic" enough for me, and I have TONS of great V.I.s... Steinberg did a fantastic job with it. At the end of the day, it's not what's "analog" - it's what sounds good. That's all I care about in an instrument.

I remember I tried Halion 7 VA engine and it sounded like a typical VA synth from 20 years ago - the envelopes were slow and the sound was very digital (the latter is fine, cause it is just a subtractive synth for the masses). It sounds nothing like Diva. The trolling is continuing here. I guess the next step would be posting two static saw waves from both synths with a comment like: "Look how similar they are!"
