Even tho I have been here since the war (which one I cannot remember), I will go second:
My name is Benedict, and I am a DAWaholic. Oh, sorry, wrong meeting.
I was a 15yo in 1984/5. By then I was already in lust with Pop music: Duran Duran, Adam Ant, Joan Jett, Deep Purple, Foreigner... A year later I would discover the underbelly that drove Rock: Sisters Of Mercy, Shriekback, Dwight Yoakam...
After being bored silly by my BA of Uselessness at the fancy Uni*, except for the Alt bands, I worked in a bank and met a studio owner where I did the usual blag my way in and get trained in mixing (really making adverts for regional AM radio stations).
When that folded, I bought my first synth, Casio CZ-1000, and started making my own pieces so I had things to do. Eventually I got some clients; salesmen whose Sales Tapes needed preparing - yay! After almost getting a couple of record deals, one of which could have seen me on Factory Records - better Yay! it all kinda imploded and regular jobs were needed.
In the middle there were more clients, incl. one who was offered a contract with a powerful backer here in Oz, but as usual he blew it for his short-term comfort, and I lost my shot at Simon Cowell status (Kingmaker). So with my intense saving habit over the decades I bought back my slave contract, and here I am doing me in a cool town - cooled by Antarctic breezes that is.

*ASD will do that to you, especially if you work in a Gay Bar and live with Punks where life is far more immediate.

Hi all — I'm Kai, solo developer behind GANUE Audio. Been building audio plugins for a while now — mostly channel strips, EQs and compressors modeled on classic analog behavior.
Just entered Gravity Channel, a free channel strip (VST3/AU/Standalone), in this year's Developer Challenge. Long-time reader here, finally getting around to posting properly.

Looking forward to being part of this.

Hi, I was born yesterday. I'm Hipster Bales' love child, from Magaluf, and I communicate with him almost exclusively through WhatsApp. I make Música Mallorquina.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.
