you wanted to answer to me ? but you didn`t ?

would be intersting to see with how much knowledge or understanding you started.
But of course feel no pressure......it`s your thread. it`s nice to be a reading guest anyway.....
( made today my first steps to setup the tools )

Will come back here to reply in a bit.

Great development update! GUI fine-tuning is often what makes an application feel polished, and merging a harmonic synth branch sounds like solid progress. Thanks for documenting your workflow and sharing the process. I'm looking forward to seeing future updates and hearing how the new features perform.

Here is a question at OP:
did you had any coding knowledge or skills when you started ?
If so how much ?(just in short words) .......or effectivly ZERO ?....wait, you`ve created your webpage ? files already under coding skills for me ;)

I persoanlly can`t follow the early on offtopic, disturbance creating, and aversive guys. Who have settled later on.

I understood immediately what`s going on here.
TTU just catched fire......and it`s obviously "first" about to walk the path rather than to get out "the" result *.
* That`s how our brain sells it to one self, and would tell it to others.

Some sound examples were effectivly great. Some very great. Indeed.
It`s an interesting project.

I mean it`s obvious that you learnt alots about "how walking the path" effectivly works ! Which IS in my opinion on itself "step 1" ;)

If this was vibecoding only as a plain noob, which it seems, then that`s impressive. At least from a standpoint where i am ;)

The sampler on page one, that was an independend product, right, and not part of this big synth ?
Greetings, forgot about this

Yes, zero skills besides dabbling enough in html and css to build a site :tu:

The hardest part of this process is simply learning the tools, not knowing where to start, but this can be grasped in a couple of hours.

Juce is the framework of the codes for vsti,
Xcode to turn dsp code to vsti,
and you need some agent to build it up, I'm using GTP, which is sufficient and BY FAR THE CHEAPEST method. You'd save hundreds or thousands.

How have you been getting along?

Yes, the sampler was it's own thing I was working on because it was too big to add to the monster synth in my opinion, though what do i know  Seems to be flawlessly smooth adding it, for now anyways

I'm now adding the harmonic synth soon as I can then I'm shooting for a beta or alpha once I can get a pretty landing page GUI screen loaded. I likely won't skin all the pages, as there are dozens, but will tackle that a little at a time if I deem it necessary.

I'm more interested to get to sound designing into this thing and then shring the beta so I can get some feedback. I've picked the project up again and am fine tuning the gui a bit, but hopefully soon will have more progress to share.

Thanks for the encouragement! Your welcome. I enjoyed sharing the journey with you guys. Hopefully some of you might be encouraged to give building a dream synth a try. I for one have had many ideas accumulating over the ages that I'm eager to try. I have not even touched my MAGNUM OPUS wavetable idea, though it might be a little high cost.

What if you could capture the hardware imprint of any synth exactly? That's the idea and wavetables would not be the exact right word to use but before I speak on it more I need to test it out and get that thing patented or something so I can make the big bucks

Yet, it's 99% likely it's a crazy idea that cannot work and the cost of doing so would be laughable per the amount of space it'd consume. A wavetable that would require a lot of space, I wonder if that is enough information to give the secret away. :hihi:

oh my gosh, i just wrote you a very ong answer, just lost.

in short: thanks alots for coming back to me.
i found my way in within a week.
lots of troubles and hungups with my tools. Same tools as your. (mac here)

my first plugin is a kicker, even in its very early stage. A creative jam delay.
in the meantime i`ve made something like 5 or 6 plugins.
Some are just some development tools, like the one that has to go later into a FB-loop. Or lets say so, we test something. Might be useful, or might be not.

Another one was a first test render for a granular FX, where i have some specific goals in mind.
Then, 3 days ago i had not the slightest intentions ever to create my own freqshfter. Right now are we HEAVILY on it.
...a new completyl fresh code is just waiting for me as we speak. We are trying something........
There is only one good FS in the whole SW-plugin realm around. One guy had figured something out nobody else had. It`s the Tonsturm FS. anything else is not even any competition. you see "that" when playing with an FS "dynamicaly". When i told the AI all my findings,....to notes: i have one of the best HW FS around, the Haible-FS1A..."it" effectivly understood and came up with theories. So i thought: okaaaaay,....so lets build an FS ! that was yesterday. haha
...might be handy to put into FB-loops. While right now, hopes are high that we`ll effectivly be able to catch the whole fish.

Thanks for the insight !
it`s super cool to watch guys who had no coding skills at all doing plugins. just: compared to me were you already an advanced student, haha. I started with below zero

its all mostly a thing of: just learn to talk with that AI. This all has turned here into an entierly dialectic process. It is effectivly AI-assistet learning in the first place. Bevore anything else.
...and i have the music-making skills as you have. That`s what is required

I might open my own blog thread. i wanted already, but any atempt to post became too long. Need some distance. and i think i need first some audio demos.

......keep it going ! i do as well ;)

it`s a strange, but also a fantastic experience. I do my own plugins now. i could laugh my ass off all day....it`s beyond any belive

the problem with making your own plugins (no matter if they are literally written by you or not) can come when you start using them as important ingredients in your music... and some time passes, and things maybe start to break here and there

guess how i know this
It doesn't matter how it sounds..
..as long as it has BASS and it's LOUD!

Haha, this was great 😃 me too bro, me too

Laughing all the day long 😂

I am interested in that frequency shifter you are talking about and the secret and well done. I implemented something but I'm wondering if it could get any better. I'll definitely check out your commendation.

What secret though in the meantime.

I might come back to this to reply when I have more time

At first I was worried about that but no bug big or small ever seems to be any issue with these tools.

If it crashes the daw then I just copy the whole report and paste it and it's fixed almost immediately every time.

I have no idea what's going on, it just works. That might be scary, but if it just works then it's not really.

"some time passes"

begin working on a bunch of tracks (DAW projects), with a random mix of a bunch of "your own plugins" in random states of developement, work on this one a bit, work on that one a bit, fix some bug here, add some feature there, adjust some parameter ranges, etc...
let more time pass, reopen your DAW projects...
maybe they will still work and sound the same?
