Anyone have any comparisons to something like XNL's Life?

I do like their take on tools, but aside from slicing into draggable/exportable pads, I'm curious about the sound shaping capabilities in VRAC+ and if they're versatile or does it produce similar results every time?

I bought the + version since I'm at home sick and deserve something nice.

I have to say I'm really impressed. Even little UI quirks in previous Beatsurfing plugins seem to be gone here- it's just really intuitive. I haven't even looked at the manual and feel like I know what everything does.

I think some people will complain that all of the drum sounds come from the same slice, and I kinda agree, but Beatsurfing seem to be emphasizing this fact, so I don't know how reasonable that is. But the auto-slicer seems to be kind of useless? Like I can just manually move the marker to another transient just as easily. But if we could have different slices for different sounds, it makes more sense.

As it is, I think I'll likely just be exporting individual sounds and moving the marker for each one, which misses out on some functionality of the plugin.

Overall I'm really liking it though; I have 14 days to refund it and I don't have any desire to do so.

Yeah, this seems like an obvious candidate for a point update post release. It seems stupid that you can import longer samples in the + version but every sound will still come from only a tiny slice of that sample.

Make sure you let them know as I'm not sure if they lurk here.
