Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

These CMS controllers have cool retro look & are cheap;

They don't have any pics of these EMU ones:

BTW - they hinted that emu will be making cardbus stuff....

This Edirol FW interface with limiter seems like it will be a good deal;

I'm too lazy to watch, but here's a FW interface w/DSP:

The new Alesis synths will be sweet for hardware folks...

The biggest over hype was prolly Ableton's Operator synth :smack:

Thanks for the heads up - that does look cool. I'm also interested in the new M-Audio Ozonic FW Audio interface/MIDI Keyboard/controller. I'll have to look closely at both, I think :wink:

Yeah - $149 :-o

And if I understand correctly the point update to Live 4.1 contains nothing new, but a few minor bugfixes and a demo of the Operator :shock: . If so that really marks a change of form/attitude from Ableton...

...do you think they are completely losing the plot?

Wow -- so far we have a bunch of sofware updates, a couple monsterous hardware workstations, more vintage emulations, and some midi controllers :zzz: :zzz: :zzz:

Q-clone is the only thing remotely original so far.
And all life's fears
Can invade my ears
I can handle it

Oh, also the Alesis FW Mixers look cool...

And those CMS controllers are upgradeable via a card to FW with a preamp etc..

Squids said there was something we were going to love. The way he talked about it I can't imagine it was Amplitube 2, but so far there's nothing else (besides a website for his band :D )

How about you? What caught your eye?
The press release for whatever Squids was talking about is embargoed until the 23rd. Apparently, they don't want it to get lost in among all the other releases. So, you may not have heard the final words yet.

Anyone seen a "report from the show floor" by anyone we trust yet??

Post

Sonic State don't seem to have taken heed of the IK embargo - http://www.sonicstate.com/news/snamm04.cfm

Just think if all companies decided to embargo their news so they could get some kind of top billing.... I may just boycott the IK news in protest :hihi:

I have the same feeling that the NAMM show has been more about updates an less on something totally new. In the past years this has been the opposite. I dont mind if this being the trend becuase it means I have one less thing to put on my buying wish list. By the way, where is the news on the ACCESS VIRUS TI that was suppose to be the next big thing? Not onepost anywhere on the net from the NAMM show.
Please dont bite me.
