Two ideas for better\easier handling of tracks

1. Should be possible to tie midichannels to tracks, would be great for handling multitimbral vstis. They should override whatever the clip midichanel is set to.

2. Should be possible to have more than one track per output\filter line, I know its possible to set one track to output to another, but it would just look cleaner, and it would make it a lot easier to organize clips and have more automation data at once etc.

Both of these is very easy to implement.

the first thing should be easy to implement but the second defenetly NOT.

You can achieve the same effect as 1. by using a MIDI plug to re-set channel data for each track.. search the forum, I'm pretty sure there are plugs available to do this.

For point 2. my approach is to leave the shared filters on an empty group track, to which all the others are routed. If we get track folders of some kind in T2, that will be perfect IMO..

To view multiple automation curves, simply create more tracks to view them on; automation is not tied to tracks.. you can view automation for any filter from any track.

In other words, if you want to automate three parameters of the same filter with reference to each other, simply create three tracks with nothing on them but the automation curves.. you don't even need to route them anywhere! 8)

btw, if you drag the "A" symbol from the new track to the filter you wish to automate, you can select from a list of just that filter's parameters, instead of searching through the whole list of everything in your edit..
