A good old fashioned sound card question...?

I'm using an Emu 1212m.... it does pretty good, but not what i would consider completely up to snuff. I've had some strange issues with Sonar 3, AND tracktion 1.xx
Might I ask if there's a firewire sound card anyone is using that they really like? Or a single PCI slot card? I went through a period of using M audio stuff, and had very little luck in the end. I thought/hoped the emu was going to take away a lot of that stuff, but... well... it was more of a lateral move. Thx for your input ahead of time!

Don't know about firewire, but my M-Audio Delta 66 works just fine with Tracktion, and always has..
I also prodded a couple of friends with similar cards (an Audiophile in one, and a Delta 1010 in the other) to grab the NFR version, and they haven't reported any problems either.
They just seem to work without any fuss in my experience.

Early M-Audio drivers, not so good. Later M-Audio drivers, pretty useable.johnsholme wrote:I went through a period of using M audio stuff, and had very little luck in the end.
I'm using an Audiophile, and I built a machine with a M-Audio 1010 PCI/Breakout for someone else, and both work fine with T.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!
