T1:
control change: YES.
program change: YES, but with patchnaming limitations.
sysex: YES.
MRPN messages for bank changes: NO. Unless you can be arsed to edit the MSB & LSB seperately using the CC editing functions.
T2 is guaranteed not to have lost any features, but whether it has gained any of your missing features or not, I don't know..

You know... I remember a time when that sentence would have seemed wholly redundant. Then Cubase SX happened.platinumears wrote: T2 is guaranteed not to have lost any features

Tell me about it.valley wrote: Then Cubase SX happened.
Still, if it weren't for that I would probably never have tried Tracktion.
I'd always assumed it was some crappy Tracker program like Orion or Fruity..

I beg to differ;
Sysex: MAYBE
Yes, it handles *some* sysex, but it imposes a maximum length on sysex strings that is well below what some synths use, and is therefore useless to many of us.
For example, if you're planning to do a patch-dump into a Tracktion project so that the patches you've used are stored with the project, it probably won't work, as most patchdump sysexes are longer than T can handle. It all depends on which synth you're using, but I'd say, try it with the demo before you purchase if this is a big issue for you.
This is one of those "low priority" things I hope are fixed in T2 but I'm not holding my breath.
