4 times as many chips would probably be the way to go, unless they want to recode their whole line. I'm with Bmaniac though, I so want a UAD but I know a new version is gonna be just around the corner so I'm not buying in just yet. Hell I know I probably won't be able to afford the new version when it's out, but it'll probably be a great time to but the old one as it gets blown out.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

I'm not so sure about that.Funkybot wrote:I know a new version is gonna be just around the corner so I'm not buying in just yet.
Personally I cannot do without the UAD compressors. They are a permanent part of my toolkit. I can't see a DAW without them anymore.

Electro I have compressors I like right now (namely GCO-1) but I just can't do without that '72 Telecaster Deluxe reissue so I can hold off on a UAD. Plus it's been so long since there's been any kind of hardware development to the UAD that I just have to believe a newer version is around the corner. But yeah the thing seems sweet, and everytime they release/announce a new plug-in I long for one even more.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

Not to hijack your thread...but if any of you are using a vst plug like SIR, Pristine Space, Waves IR, etc..etc..etc... I believe that ArcDev Noise Industries has some impulses from that roland space echo that you can load into your favorite convolution vst...they are in the "misc" section on the bottom.[ Lex ] wrote:Me too, but we have to wait until summer for thebrianbrian wrote:I'm much more excited about the Dimension D and SpaceEcho though.

Every time I tweak tracks with the UAD-1 is a religious experience.
Now that I have proper monitors and can hear what is happening to my sound, I only use native plugins to conserve resources to use UAD plugs on all key tracks. The Fairchild, Plate verb and Pultec eq are gifts from God.

But those are way to short and I want to tweak them as the echo distorts awaa a a y y y Y Y into a dub infinite .TotcProductions wrote: Not to hijack your thread...but if any of you are using a vst plug like SIR, Pristine Space, Waves IR, etc..etc..etc... I maily use those to "warm" and "dirty" things up, and they are indeed lovely for that.

HI
Wasn't there an interview in a magazine recently with the md of UAD - he pretty well ruled out a firewire solution at the moment for technical reasons - so if anything new is around the corner it looks certain to be just another pci card - although yes: 4 times the power would be great - I have a poco, if the fairchild is as good as people say then I would be happy to just get a couple of them up anyway!
Flipper.
